Irrefutable Biblical Evidence -- the Unborn Are Real People
The March for Life, reportedly over a million people of all ages, were in Washington, D.C. recently to declare their support for the unborn.
Since 1973, when the case of Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court, mothers have had the legal right to abort their babies. The premise upon which this decision was made is that life does not begin at conception; that killing the unborn is not actually slaying a viable human being.
Common sense would tell you otherwise, but abortion isn't based in
common sense. It is anchored in human nature, which desires freedom
from the consequence of its own decisions and actions.
CHRISTIANS believe that GOD alone is "the AUTHOR and FINISHER of life." CHRISTIANS affirm that apart from GOD, conception does not occur and neither should death.
This account of Elizabeth greeting her cousin Mary gives credence to the belief that the child living inside the womb is indeed a viable human life.
Luke 1:41-44
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
43 And what is this honor to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy.
