In your own prayer time on July 2, add repentance to your prayers. Spend time with the Risen Christ [Revelation 3:20] Who will support you in turning from your "wicked ways." He will forgive you and encourage you to turn from sin and follow His holiness. We all fall short of the glory of God. There's no condemnation in Christ. He deserves a Bride without spot and calls each of us who believe in Him as Savior to be zealous to repent [Revelation 3:19].

On July 2, will you be added to those on their knees repenting for our personal and national sins? On July 2 a solemn cry will go out during the day across our land in hopes that enough of a remnant will actually repent. Who knows if your voice will be just the needed addition to the solemn cry across our land that day allowing the Lord to hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land.

Judicial Watch is a citizen's watchdog organization led by Tom Fitton. Fitton and Judicial Watch are a beacon of light shining on the government's secrets that are of interest to or could harm the public. 

Judicial Watch actually does the mainstream media's job-hold accountability and exposes wrong-doing. Tom Fitton is a modern-day hero because he exposes to the light the dark things this leviathan government does. 

To that end, Fitton has been relentless in Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests, something Hillary Clinton and her campaign says represents everything wrong about our political system. In reality, Clinton is everything wrong about our political system, and Judicial Watch is exposing it.

In response to Judicial Watch's investigative bulldogging on Clinton's e-mail illegalities and Benghazi negligence, Bloomberg reports that Clinton's campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said that Judicial Watch "represents everything that is wrong with our political system...

"Manufacturing wrongdoing has been central to their singular agenda since their inception. Worse, they do this by clogging up the courts at the expense of tens of millions of tax-payer dollars. 

"Justice is the last thing they seek. They are only interested in headlines, and have made a complete mockery of our system. And if you want proof, just look at this latest round of leaks that are contradicted by their own transcripts. It's truly disgraceful."

Let's break this statement down. A spokesman for Hillary Clinton says holding her accountable "represents everything that is wrong with our political system." 

Clinton also believes that her email scandal and her calloused negligence and lying in the Benghazi catastrophe is the product of Judicial Watch "manufacturing wrongdoing." 

Clinton blames Judicial Watch for "clogging up the courts" at tax-payers expense when in reality it has been Clinton's refusal to cooperate with both federal authorities and the public's right to know that has clogged up the courts and cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. 

Clinton accuses Judicial Watch of making a complete mockery of our system, but her 

personal attacks and denials are at the center of this mockery. Clinton says justice is the last thing Judicial Watch seeks, when Clinton herself avoids justice.

This is a textbook case of projection. She is accusing Judicial Watch of everything that she has done and is doing. She also is saying that neither she nor the government should be held accountable for wrong-doing. 

This is a tried and true Clinton media strategy of deny and attack. She is expert at speaking of good as if it were evil. As Christian Americans, we need to beware of this and weigh it every time she or her representatives speak. 

May we take heed that we are not deceived. 

Psalm 120:2 says, "Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue." And Psalm 31:18 says, "Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous." 

LORD, let it be so.

French Huguenots

The Pilgrims fled from England to Holland in 1607.

When Spain threatened to invade Holland, the Pilgrims considered sailing to Guyana in South America, as they heard of its tropical climate.

Pilgrim Governor William Bradford wrote in Of Plymouth Plantation:

"Some ... had thoughts and were earnest for Guiana ... Those for Guiana alleged that the country was rich, fruitful, and blessed with a perpetual spring ..."

But the Pilgrims were reminded of how close Guyana was to the "Spanish Main," the Caribbean Sea controlled by Spain, and the massacre of the French settlement of Fort Caroline, Florida.

William Bradford added:

"... but to this it was answered, that it was out of question ...

If they should there live, and do well, the jealous Spaniard would never suffer them long, but would displant or overthrow them, as he did the FRENCH in FLORIDA."

The French attempted a settlement in Florida in 1564 on the banks of St. John's River.

It was the first French settlement in area of present-day United States.

Named Fort Caroline, it was founded by French Protestant Christians known as Huguenots, who came for religious freedom.

Huguenots were escaping the Wars of Religion which ravaged France for over a century.

During this era in Europe, whatever a king believed, his kingdom had to believe.

There was little freedom of conscience, as governments dictated the religious beliefs of citizens and persecuted those believing differently.

Due to his hateful contempt for the Catholic Holy Roman Emperor Charles V of Spain, France's King Francis I did the unimaginable - he made an alliance with the Muslim Ottoman Sultan, Suleiman the Magnificent.

This was the first time a European monarch made such an alliance with a Muslim power, resulting in calls being made for Francis I to be excommunicated.

Francis I was originally tolerant of Protestants, but he soon turned to aggressively persecute them, having thousands killed in the Massacre of the Waldensians of Mérindol in 1545.

Religious persecutions increased in France with battles and tragedies such as the Massacre of Wassy in 1562, the St. Bartholomew's Day massacre in 1572, instigated by the queen consort Catherine de' Medici.

The Edit of Nantes in 1589 provided some relief until it was officially revoked by King Louis XIV who resumed persecution with the Edict of Fontainebleau in 1685.

Government persecution against Huguenots for their religious beliefs increased after the assassination of King Henry IV on May 4, 1610.

When Louis XIII became the French king in 1610, he had as his Chief Minister, Cardinal Richelieu.

Cardinal Richelieu consolidated State power, crushed dissent, confiscated lands, and laid the ground-work for the creation of an absolute monarchy in France.

Cardinal Richelieu destroyed the castles of the princes, dukes, and lesser aristocrats so they could not rebel.

Cardinal Richelieu imposed burdensome taxes, censored the press, and had such a broad network of internal spies spying on citizens that it is considered the origin of the modern secret service.

Arresting and executing his political rivals, Cardinal Richelieu was portrayed as a power-hungry villain in Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers (1844).

Cardinal Richelieu's strengthening of the French state led to the absolute rule of Louis XIV - the "Sun King," who is credited with saying "It is legal because I wish it"; and "L'État, c'est moi" ("I am the state").

Louis XIV reigned over 72 years (1643-1715), longer than any major monarch in European history.

France's power led to the eventual bankrupting and decline of the powerful Spanish-Austrian Habsburg Dynasty and Holy Roman Empire in Europe.

During the Europe's religious wars, indefensible injustices were committed by both sides.

Though millions died in these wars, the numbers are dwarfed when compared with the hundreds of millions killed in atheistic genocides, socialist/communist purges, expulsions, ethnic cleansings, and Islamic jihads.

Commemorating the French Huguenots and their attempt at seeking religious freedom in America, Rep. Charles E. Bennett sponsored a bill on September 21, 1950, to establish the Fort Caroline National Memorial.

In 1989, Rep. Charles E. Bennett recited the history:

"The 425th anniversary of the beginning settlements by Europeans ... renamed from Fort Caroline to San Mateo, to San Nicolas, to Cowford and finally to Jacksonville in 1822...

Three small ships carrying 300 Frenchmen led by Rene de Laudonniere anchored in the river known today as the St. Johns."

Rep. Bennett continued:

"On June 30, 1564, construction of a triangular-shaped fort...was begun with the help of a local tribe of Timucuan Indians...

Home for this hardy group of Huguenots ... their strong religious ... motivations inspired them."

The French Christian Huguenots in Florida set a day of Thanksgiving and offered the first Protestant prayer in North America on JUNE 30, 1564:

"We sang a psalm of Thanksgiving unto God, beseeching Him that it would please Him to continue His accustomed goodness towards us."

Rep. Bennett related the colony's unfortunate end:

"Fort Caroline existed but for a short time...Spain ... captured ... the fort and ... slaughtered most of its inhabitants in September of 1565."

The Spanish Governor of Florida, Don Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, then founded St. Augustine, Florida, in 1565 - the first permanent settlement in North America.

Other first settlements were:

1607-English Colony of Jamestown;

1608-French Colony of Quebec;

1624-Dutch Colony of New Amsterdam (New York); and

1638-Swedish Colony of New Sweden (Delaware & New Jersey)

Adam Smith wrote in The Wealth of Nations, 1776:

"The Spaniards, by virtue of the first discovery, claimed all America as their own, and ... such was ... the terror of their name, that the greater part of the other nations of Europe were afraid to establish themselves in any other part of that great continent ...

But ... the defeat ... of their Invincible Armada ... put it out of their power to obstruct any longer the settlements of the other European nations.

In the course of the 17th century ... English, French, Dutch, Danes, and Swedes ... attempted to make some settlements in the new world."

There has been a lot of commentary about the British decision to leave the European Union and its implications for Trump and the American presidential race.

Trump was at his golf course in Turnberry, Scotland the day after the vote. He was enthusiastic about Brexit and claimed it was a model for the American choice. He suggested the British hostility to bureaucracy in Brussels paralleled the American hostility to bureaucracy in Washington. He felt the concerns about massive immigration and Syrian refugees were the same in both countries. He drew a direct comparison between the British desire to be independent again and the American desire to put America first in foreign relations. And of course, he did the entire press conference wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Clinton took the opposite approach. Despite the defeat of the British establishment and its "Remain" campaign, she was committed to stability and risk avoidance. She emphasized the dangers of Brexit whereas Trump had emphasized the opportunities.

Yet focusing on Brexit creates much too narrow a basis for understanding the winds of change sweeping through the Western world.

The first harbinger of change this year was May 23, the day of the Austrian presidential elections.

In the first round, the two parties that had dominated Austria for the past half-century came in fourth and fifth. An independent came in third. The two formerly minor parties in the run-off were a hardline conservative anti-immigrant candidate and a green who favored more immigration. The entire national establishment mobilized to block the anti-immigrant candidate. He got 49.65 percent of the vote.

The second big signal of change was the Italian municipal elections. Out of disgust with widespread corruption, an Italian comedian named Beppe Grillo launched the Five Star Movement in 2009. In the 2013 elections, it came in second. This month, the Five Star Movement candidates won the mayor’s offices in both Turin and Rome.

Virginia Raggi, 37, became the first female mayor in Rome's 2,800-year history. In the midst of a corruption scandal which forced the previous mayor to resign, Raggi got 67 percent of the vote against the Prime Minister's party. In Turin, the results were similar and the reform movement won in 17 other cities.

Brexit, then, was at least the third big-change election in the West this year. The entire British establishment, the business leadership, President Obama and Hillary Clinton all came out for the Remain side. They lost 52-48 in a stunning upset which the polls did not predict. In England and Wales, the margins were much higher as people voted to make Britain independent again.

Fourth and finally, last Sunday was the little-noticed election of a new president in Iceland. The former president had resigned in a scandal caused by release of the Panama Papers. He had broken no laws but his previously secret investments were very unpopular. The winner of the presidential elections with 39 percent of the vote was Gudni Johannesson, a history teacher. Second, with 28 percent of the vote, was Halla Tomasdottir, a businesswoman. The leading professional politician, a former prime minister, got 13 percent.

These results from four different countries show a consistent momentum toward throwing out established politicians and rejecting the establishment.

There are real warnings here for Clinton and real signs of encouragement for Trump.

But YOUR forefathers did not sacrifice themselves in order for you to attain YOUR happiness from the largess of the government. YOUR forefathers fought and died to set YOU free from a government that controlled YOU, according to its dictates, from the cradle to the grave.

Do YOU count the truths for which they gave so much to be self-evident?

Please open YOUR eyes and behold the reality before YOU--that forces from within are determined to rob YOU and YOUR progeny of freedom, that they are more dangerous than the Nazis of WW II, that they are more dangerous than terrorists who attack innocents.

They are more dangerous because they are making YOU complicit in YOUR own destruction!

Cherish these truths!
Hold these truths with an iron grasp!
Do not relinquish them for the empty promises of crafty politicians.

Many Christians who reach out to others burn out quickly because they launch into ministry before they establish in themselves the foundations of being lovers of God.

Discouragement, despair, boredom, and frustration will inevitably occur if we do not recognize that we are first called to be lovers. 

The reward of our labor is that we get to enjoy being a lover as the primary preoccupation of our lives. It's a pleasure beyond compare.

As a lover first, now when I experience attacks from other people, when I am undermined, when things don't work out, when disappointment comes while I am laboring for the gospel, I can always run back to the secret place.

I still have a secret place of joy where I am immersed in the knowledge that God loves me. This is where God imparts back to me a little bit of the Father's love for His Son.

This is true spiritual delight!

Lord, You have privileged me to share Your intimacy as Your bride. It is that love relationship that allows me to fulfill Your will for my life. I am Your loved one.

God fashioned us to receive love and to be vessels through which His affection flows back to Him, and as we do so, we are lavished in the blessedness of knowing we are precious in the beloved.

Congressman Doug Lamborn has introduced a resolution (H. Res. 790), expressing support for the designation of July 2, 2016 as the "National Day of Personal Reflection and Repentance."

"While there will be no solemn assemblies or public gatherings, this is a call for all of us to personally reflect before our God, to repent for our national and our personal sins, and to ask God to forgive us and to heal our land. There is substantial historical precedent for national repentance and seeking God's forgiveness and favor.

Presidents John Adams, James Madison, and Abraham Lincoln all declared days of repentance during their presidencies. As it is written in Chronicles 7:14, 'If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'" - Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)

Thank you, Congressman Lamborn, for sponsoring a bill that is so needful in our nation today.
May Christians of every denomination humble themselves before our SAVIOR and beseech HIS mercy and healing upon our land as we implore HIM to forgive our sins.

Above the Law

Two government employees were overheard discussing security and clearance and documents they'd signed when assuming the jobs they currently hold.

Neither of them were high-ranking officials but both expressed shock at Mrs. Clinton's audacious lies regarding security regarding her e-mails.

Both low-level government workers affirmed that had either of them been even remotely as lax as the former Secretary of  State, they would be sitting in a federal prison and not in a restaurant.

I wonder if anyone else who overheard their conversation was as perplexed as I as to why Hillary Clinton is moving toward the White House instead of toward the 'big house.'

Is there something special about her that places her above the law?

Clinton Fruits Revealed in Benghazi Report by Bill Wilson

The final Benghazi Committee report indicated then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lied to the public about the particulars of the terrorist attack and had an important hand in denying military assistance to embassy personnel during the attack.

It took the Clinton campaign only moments to roll out a tried and true campaign tactic to discredit the findings. Clinton's presidential campaign said that the 800-page report was a partisan conspiracy theory. Clinton campaign spokesman

Brian Fallon callously dismissed the report, saying, "this Committee's chief goal is to politicize the deaths of four brave Americans in order to attack the administration and hurt Hillary Clinton's campaign."

Nothing to see here, right? Wrong.

First and foremost, the report continued to confirm that the Administration in general, and Hillary Clinton specifically, lied to the public about the cause of the attack and who was responsible.

The report documents the comments made in parallel with the actions known. Clinton and National Security Advisor Susan Rice told the public one story when they knew the truth. Furthermore, the truth of the Benghazi attacks-that it was terror-related and not a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Islam film-was covered up as a deliberate act that included the president, Clinton, Rice, and the White House public relations staff. They conspired to repeatedly lie to the American people in hopes of reshaping the political narrative and the outcome of the up-coming election.

Congressman Trey Gowdy's letter summarizing the report states: "Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivered the only official statement from the U.S. government regarding the attacks. At the time the statement was released, the Secretary's office had real-time information about the attacks from multiple sources...The Secretary's statement included the line "...some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet."

This is a reference to the video. Nothing from the agents on the ground, or the Deputy Chief of Mission in Libya, mentioned anything about "inflammatory material posted on the Internet." News articles did.

"The Secretary's statement therefore began a series of public statements by senior administration officials over the next two weeks that conflated the attacks with the inflammatory material-despite a lack of intelligence or eyewitness accounts ever linking the two together."

The report also revealed that Clinton was uncooperative with the investigation and that more unsecured emails were discovered. Moreover, her actions allowed four Americans to die. This report alone should solidify in every American voter's mind that Clinton is unfit for holding any public office.

She is a liar, a conspirator and a lawbreaker.

Jesus said in Matthew 7, "There are many false prophets who wear sheep's clothing, but are ravening wolves, Wherefore, by their fruits you shall know them."

We know Clinton's fruits, and that should be enough to ensure she holds no elective office.

Visitations

The heart of GOD is grieved by the hatred and viciousness of those who embrace radical Islam. The heart of the HOLY ONE is broken by man's inhumanity to man.

HE sorrows at the suffering of HIS children. HE weeps as CHRIST wept when believers are brutalized, but HE weeps also for those who perpetrate the evil.

When one dies for his faith in JESUS, he is received into the Throne Room of Heaven where the LORD rises from HIS seat to embrace him and welcome him home.

But the one who has committed the evil deed will one day die himself and his fate will usher him not through the portal of mercy to the SAVIOR who died for his sins, for he has rejected HIM. The destiny of the one who has denied the free gift of forgiveness awaits him in the flame that will never be quenched.

We who believe that JESUS came to seek and save the lost, that every nation, kindred and tribe are the recipients of HIS salvation, rejoice when we learn of the mercy that is being poured upon those who know HIM not.

LORD JESUS, we implore YOU to continue to visit the unsaved throughout the earth in dreams and visions and with signs and wonders.

Reveal YOURSELF to them in YOUR glory and power and bring them to the saving knowledge that will set them free from bondage to the death of sin and make them alive in the eternal life that YOU hold out to them.

Not Like Me

We've all heard the accusation from unbelievers, "The church is full of hypocrites; why would I want to be part of the hypocrisy?"

To them we say, "You're right. You don't want to be like those who attend church--you certainly don't want to be like me! I can affirm with Paul the great apostle that I am chief among sinners.

"But church isn't where you go to become like other mere mortals, church is where you go to become free of your burden of sin. We who attend are quick to admit that we are greatly flawed.

"We who attend are quick to admit that our failures and foibles still attend us--but our sins are forgiven. We who have no righteousness of our own are robed in the glorious righteousness of JESUS...

"...And that's what we yearn to see in you."

 

 

 

You Cannot Remain in the Darkness

Some things are just too much to hope for.
Some things are beyond your ability to claim as your own.

Of course, you believe the WORD of GOD is true--every word of the WORD was spoken by the ONE who cannot lie.

But, doubt creeps in and whispers, "It's true, but it isn't for you."

To that nagging doubt, faith must reply, "What HE has promised, HE is able to perform (for you)." Romans 4:21

And because everything around you is dark, because all you can see is the gloom, the light of HIS promises will illumine your night, for HE can use even the darkness to HIS glory.

JESUS is the LIGHT of the world.

When you walk with HIM, you cannot remain in the darkness.

God is still on the throne. He is bigger than any difficultly, what He promised in your life will come to pass.

JESUS Heals

The scars you bear from previous battles are the evidence that JESUS indeed heals.

"But HE was wounded for our transgressions; HE was bruised for our sins, and by HIS stripes, we are healed." -Isaiah 53:5

Unafraid

JESUS, YOU know the end from the beginning. YOU see the destination of this road I am traveling.

I may be fretful about everything I must leave behind.

I may dread the mountains I will have to scale.

I may wonder what depth will be the water I must cross.
 
I may be anxious about the dangers I will encounter along the way.

But when I remember that YOU are with me, that YOU set me on this path, I am mindful of YOUR assurance, "ALL things work together for the good of those who are called according to YOUR purpose."  Romans 8:28

Because YOU are EVER FAITHFUL, and because YOU are ALL POWERFUL my trust in YOU can arise; my fears can be laid aside. Anxiety cannot mar my progress for YOU have set me free from its hindrance.

Although I cannot see the destination before me, I can see YOU, dear LORD, beside me every step of this journey...

So I take bold steps into the unknown, and I am unafraid.
