The matter of gun ownership does not appear to be a spiritual issue on the surface, but ultimately, it, as with all things, has a spiritual root.
As we distance ourselves further and further from the godly Christian heritage our forefathers bequeathed to us in our body of law, we become more flawed as a people.
We who have enjoyed the light of the faith and wisdom of the men who staked "their lives, their fortunes, their sacred honor" upon the establishment of this "land of the free and home of the brave" find ourselves in a situation where well-intentioned people are determined to remove our rights and freedoms from us--including the right to bear arms.
As we weigh their motivation beside that which compelled our
forefathers, we must decide who is correct; we must decide who we will
follow.
The reality is that we need the wisdom and the light of faith that compelled our founders to write our Constitution in order to determine the correctness of those who desire to abrogate our Constitution.
Without that godly light, without the presence of the ONE who is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD to guide us, we cannot see clearly to make any choice that would change what they have secured for us.
