Alexander the Great had a great dream. He had a dream of overcoming the centuries’ old animosity between the western cultures of Greece and Macedonia and the eastern culture of the Persian Empire through military conquest. However, his dream was not built upon the purposes of God, and it crumbled at his death. Napoleon’s dream was to make one great European nation out of France and Germany and Italy. But his dream was shattered at Waterloo. It was not based upon the Word of God. Karl Marx had a dream of a classless society—a dream that does not conform with the nature of man nor the teachings of God’s Word, and it is in retreat. The Apostle Paul had a dream based upon the truth of God. He saw men and women out of every nation, tongue, and tribe loving and worshiping the living God and coming to know the forgiveness and peace of Christ. He put feet under that dream and it is still being carried out. Do you have any dreams? Or did they end with your childhood? How big are your dreams, my friend? Are they consonant with the teachings of the Scriptures? If so, you must then trust in Christ for their fulfillment. Lord, You are a God of great and mighty things. Grant us great dreams for the sake of Your kingdom and the strength to live them out… BY GOD’S STRENGTH, WE CAN DREAM BIG DREAMS.

Despite all the bully protests and loud mouthing going on, and the leftist news media pounding Americans day in and day out about bringing impeachment and treason proceedings against President Donald Trump, he is getting done what he said he would do.

Trump ended the war on coal and at least put a hole in the truly fake narrative about climate change by rolling back the ex president's

stranglehold on the nation's energy regulations at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Trump's Executive Order, in his words are "historic steps to lift the restrictions on American energy, to reverse government intrusion, and to cancel job-killing regulations."

There are other promises that are being kept.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a crack-down on law-breaking sanctuary cities because they make "our nation less safe by putting dangerous criminals back on the streets."

He said, "the Department of Homeland Security recently issued a report showing that in a single week, there were more than 200 instances of jurisdictions refusing to honor ICE Detainer requests with respect to individuals charged or convicted of serious crimes. These charges and convictions against these aliens include drug trafficking, hit-and-run, rape, sex offenses against children and even murder. Such policies cannot continue."

In short, Sessions said he will yank federal funding from cities not in compliance with the law.

On March 27, Trump tweeted "Why isn't the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech...money to Bill, the Hillary Russian "reset," praise of Russia by Hillary, or Podesta's Russian Company..."

Maybe Clinton will be investigated. Some sources claim she is under investigation. Time will tell. But if you want to find ties to Russia, the Clintons are an excellent place to start.

While Clinton was Secretary of State:

1.Nuclear grade uranium went to Russia scoring $145 million to the Clinton Foundation

2.Bill Clinton's $500,000 speech in Moscow

3.Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta's $35 million energy deal with Russia

4.Clinton Foundation receipt of $2.35 million in donations from Ian Telfer, head of Russia's uranium company.

And the Democrats say Trump was in league with the Russians!

But on the positive side, since Trump's election, there is good news to report...

On the jobs front:

1. Ford Motor Company announced that it was expanding in Michigan instead of Mexico, with a $700 million investment.

2.Joining Ford is GM with an investment to create an additional 1,500 jobs

3. 45,000 jobs announced by Exxon Mobil

4. 10,000 new jobs each at Kroger, Walmart, and US Steel

5. 50,00 new jobs by SoftBank Telecommunications

6.Toyota and Fiat also say they will create jobs in America.

These are just a few signs that, despite all the fake news and talk of resistance, things are heading in a better direction. The temporary setback on socialist healthcare repeal will also be readdressed soon.

Proverbs 24:20 says, "For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out."

There is a lot of wicked to extinguish.

But the light of one small candle does much.

 

 

He Cares for You

Are you going through a trial of great magnitude?

 If you are not, you probably have in the past or will in the future.

The Bible states clearly that "the sun shines on the just and on the unjust; the rain falls on the just and on the unjust." We live in a fallen world and that is nowhere more evident than in the ups and downs that people-- believers and unbelievers alike-- go through.

If you are a person of faith in CHRIST, then you are aware that the ONE who holds everything that exists in the hollow of HIS hand has promised that HE will keep you through every trial.

The LIVING WORD of our ETERNAL GOD assures us that we may, "Cast all our cares upon JESUS, for HE cares for us (for you!)

Does the burden you bear seem too big?
It certainly may be too big for you, but it is not too big for our SAVIOR and LORD.

If you are weighted down by grief or sorrow or disappointment or any thing that can wax large in the imagination of man, simply take the LORD at HIS word.

Simply cast your care upon HIM and allow HIM to carry it for you--for indeed, HE does "care for you."

But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

Herbert Hoover Has Telephone Installed in Oval Office

On this day in 1929, President Herbert Hoover had a phone installed at his desk in the Oval Office of the White House.

It took a while to get the line to Hoover’s desk working correctly and the president complained to aides when his son was unable to get through on the Oval Office phone from an outside line.

Previously, Hoover had used a phone located in the foyer just outside the office. Telephones and a telephone switchboard had been in use at the White House since 1878, when President Rutherford B. Hayes had the first one installed, but no phone had ever been installed at the president’s desk until Hoover’s administration.

Great strides have been made in communication from that time until this.

As a country who believes you created all men equal, we pray for Your guidance and wisdom in how we treat those who would want to be American. Guide our leaders to honorable and wise immigration policies that secure the safety of America.

As a nation built by immigrants, we pray for Your protection and direction for the newest immigrants to our country. Let them be honorable people who come here lawfully.

We pray that our immigrants will be a part of restoring America to You, instead of part of the effort to transform America away from our founders’ intent and vision, for indeed, our founders did not envision a nation of thieves who came to steal the country but of honorable men who came to build the nation.

Gentleness (meekness). We need to approach praying for others with a fresh awareness that we don't have the answers for them but that we know the One who does.

This keeps us from presumption and platitudes. Our movements, both physical and verbal, need to be gentle rather than abrupt or harsh. If we can help set them at ease by knowing that they are safe in our presence, then they will be able to receive more easily from the Lord.

Dear God, give me a spirit of gentleness that is like Yours, dear Father. Pour Your oil of gentleness over my spirit, and cause it to flow carefully and consistently into the lives of others through Your gentle spirit that they see in me.

Let my movements, like Yours, be gentle rather than abrupt or harsh.

Since the previous Administration placed Iran on the fast track to have nuclear weapons, a curious, possibly prophetic, development has occurred between Turkey and Iran-two nations that figure prominently in the end of days, and one must come into submission to the other for prophecy to be fulfilled.

Turkey's "president" Tayyip Erdogan has been threatening to unleash a flood of immigrants from Turkey into Europe. He has tried to leverage the threat to persuade European governments to allow Turks living in Europe to vote in Turkey's elections.

Apparently, this vast immigration from Turkey will actually come from Iran, which Turkey says is aiding and abetting illegal migration into Turkey.

Tensions between the two nations have been increasing as both countries vie for dominance in the region. The Islamic Sunni Turkey, under Erdogan, has become increasingly totalitarian and Shiite Iran is a formidable terrorist sponsoring state working on a very real nuclear program.

Turkey has been supporting the terrorist Islamic State, while publicly denying that support, in an effort to block Iran from gaining a stronger foothold in the Middle East.

It's a complicated mix of treacherous foreign policy involving Syria, Iran, Turkey, Israel and several outside forces, including Russia, Europe, and the US.

Russia is simply supplying weapons and skills to Iran and its vassal state Syria against the Islamic State.

The US position has been far more confusing.

The US says it is fighting against the Islamic State, yet under the ex-president, was supporting Islamic State efforts in Syria against Russia and Iran.

At the same time, the US signed a deal that put Iran on even a faster track developing nuclear weapons capability. The US also has been supportive of Turkey as an ally in the Sunni balance of power in the region.

Enter President Donald Trump, who says the US will defeat the Islamic State. This most certainly, if prosecuted with true vigor, will upset the convoluted labyrinth foreign policy design of Trump's predecessor, essentially playing both sides against the middle-the middle being Israel.

Ezekiel 38:2 says, "...set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against them."

Magog, Meshech, Tubal are all located in what is now modern Turkey. Verse 5 says, "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them..."

Persia is modern day Iran.

Turkey and Iran are rivals as they are positioning for control of the Middle East. We know, however, that Magog (Turkey) eventually leads and Persia follows.

These players represent both Shiite and Sunni Muslims who unite against Israel in the "acharit-hayamim," meaning the end of days.

God will destroy them with earthquakes, fire and brimstone.

Ezekiel 38: 21 says, "...every man's sword shall be against his brother."

We know what the Bible says is going to happen. We are watching how it comes together.

Nuclear Accident at Three Mile Island

At 4 a.m. on March 28, 1979, the worst accident in the history of the U.S. nuclear power industry began when a pressure valve in the Unit-2 reactor at Three Mile Island failed to close. Cooling water, contaminated with radiation, drained from the open valve into adjoining buildings, and the core began to dangerously overheat.

The Three Mile Island nuclear power plant was built in 1974 on a sandbar on Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna River, just 10 miles downstream from the state capitol in Harrisburg. In 1978, a second state-of-the-art reactor began operating on Three Mile Island, which was lauded for generating affordable and reliable energy in a time of energy crises.

After the cooling water began to drain out of the broken pressure valve on the morning of March 28, 1979, emergency cooling pumps automatically went into operation. Left alone, these safety devices would have prevented the development of a larger crisis. However, human operators in the control room misread confusing and contradictory readings and shut off the emergency water system. The reactor was also shut down, but residual heat from the fission process was still being released. By early morning, the core had heated to over 4,000 degrees, just 1,000 degrees short of meltdown. In the meltdown scenario, the core melts, and deadly radiation drifts across the countryside, fatally sickening a potentially great number of people.

As the plant operators struggled to understand what had happened, the contaminated water was releasing radioactive gases throughout the plant. The radiation levels, though not immediately life-threatening, were dangerous, and the core cooked further as the contaminated water was contained and precautions were taken to protect the operators.

Shortly after 8 a.m., word of the accident leaked to the outside world. The plant’s parent company, Metropolitan Edison, downplayed the crisis and claimed that no radiation had been detected off plant grounds, but the same day inspectors detected slightly increased levels of radiation nearby as a result of the contaminated water leak. Pennsylvania Governor Dick Thornburgh considered calling an evacuation.

Finally, at about 8 p.m., plant operators realized they needed to get water moving through the core again and restarted the pumps. The temperature began to drop, and pressure in the reactor was reduced. The reactor had come within less than an hour of a complete meltdown. More than half the core was destroyed or molten, but it had not broken its protective shell, and no radiation was escaping. The crisis was apparently over.

Two days later, however, on March 30, a bubble of highly flammable hydrogen gas was discovered within the reactor building. The bubble of gas was created two days before when exposed core materials reacted with super-heated steam.

On March 28, some of this gas had exploded, releasing a small amount of radiation into the atmosphere. At that time, plant operators had not registered the explosion, which sounded like a ventilation door closing. After the radiation leak was discovered on March 30, residents were advised to stay indoors. Experts were uncertain if the hydrogen bubble would create further meltdown or possibly a giant explosion, and as a precaution Governor Thornburgh advised “pregnant women and pre-school age children to leave the area within a five-mile radius of the Three Mile Island facility until further notice.”

This led to the panic the governor had hoped to avoid; within days, more than 100,000 people had fled surrounding towns.

On April 1, President Jimmy Carter arrived at Three Mile Island to inspect the plant. Carter, a trained nuclear engineer, had helped dismantle a damaged Canadian nuclear reactor while serving in the U.S. Navy. His visit achieved its aim of calming local residents and the nation. That afternoon, experts agreed that the hydrogen bubble was not in danger of exploding. Slowly, the hydrogen was bled from the system as the reactor cooled.

At the height of the crisis, plant workers were exposed to unhealthy levels of radiation, but no one outside Three Mile Island had their health adversely affected by the accident. Nonetheless, the incident greatly eroded the public’s faith in nuclear power.

The unharmed Unit-1 reactor at Three Mile Island, which was shut down during the crisis, did not resume operation until 1985. Cleanup continued on Unit-2 until 1990, but it was too damaged to be rendered usable again. In the more than two decades since the accident at Three Mile Island, not a single new nuclear power plant has been ordered in the United States.

Father in heaven, help us to restore a sense of national dignity. Teach us to be a virtuous people, worthy of respect. Allow the world to see Your truth and grace displayed in our citizenry. Make us ever mindful to treat others as we would want to be treated.

Please give Your perspective on this world and Your wisdom to all those who represent America in official dealings with other nations. Convict, forgive and correct the failures of our leaders to seek Your guidance as they interact with the nations of Your world. Give them humility, insight, discernment, and strength.

We pray that America would take the lead in ending greed and corruption around Your world.

As our citizens travel abroad, Lord, we ask You to quicken us to represent our nation honorably and with humility.

Father, we pray for Your intervention in righting the distorted image of America that is exported through media and entertainment.

We especially ask You to lead us in our attitude and dealings with the nation of Israel. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Lead and convict those who set foreign policy. Give them a full understanding of Your Scriptural mandate to bless Israel.

We would ask, Lord, for favor from other nations who have benefited from the sacrifice of American blood and treasure.

Let GOD Be True

"Let GOD be true and every man a liar."

NASA has proven the BIBLE is true. Well, isn't that a relief.

I'm sure GOD is relaxing a bit on HIS throne just knowing that the great minds at NASA have discovered something that sheds veracity upon HIS ETERNAL TRUTH.

I'm sure the HOLY ONE has been waiting for this moment from time immemorial so HIS NAME could be vindicated in the eyes of doubting men.

Oh, wait...GOD isn't dependent upon men to affirm who HE is. The ONE who rules the universe and all that is doesn't require assent from those HE formed.

NASA has proven the BIBLE is true. That simply means a few more men who are wise in their own eyes have had the opportunity to recognize what common sense can tell anyone...that the amazing wonder of creation simply must have a CREATOR.

If a simple thing like an automobile must have a designer, how could something as complex as the entirety of existence have simply emerged from a primordial slime that somehow reoriented itself into the proper proportion of molecules and cells to fashion the wonderful diversity of nature?

So, NASA has proven the Bible to be true...if that 'proof' causes one fallen creature to embrace JESUS as his SAVIOR and LORD, then it is worth the effort of the brilliant minds that inhabit NASA.

But those of us who are simply not fools* in the first place have known it all along.

* "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no GOD.'"
