Seasons
Seasons come and seasons go.
"The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the WORD of GOD shall stand forever."

Sometimes the seasons seem to be mixed up. This winter, for example,
was quite mild--until it dumped about a foot of snow all over the East
Coast! The old saying that March comes in like a lamb and goes out like
a lion (or vice versa) seems to be true this March.
Today ushers in the season of Spring. In some places, it is quite reflective of what is expected of the season--mild temperatures and showers--in others, more snow is forecast.
The seasons of life sometimes hold unexpected realities, too. When warm, pleasant occasions are anticipated, sudden storms can appear. When one has fortified oneself against the icy chill of trial, a blessed respite can occur.
The believer in CHRIST must be prepared to hold fast to the LORD in any and in all the seasons of life. When events are pleasant, he must stand close to JESUS and praise HIM for HIS mercy.
When the cold blast of unexpected challenges disrupt the pleasantness of his life, he must hold fast to JESUS, confident that the ONE in whom he has placed his confidence will help him ride out the storm.
Yes, we we
lcome Spring with all its lovely promise, but the promise to which we cling is the one spoken by our SAVIOR who has assured us, "I WILL NEVER FAIL YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.
That promise holds--through every season of life.
