Never Runs Dry

Thank YOU, our LORD and our GOD, that YOUR cup of mercy never runs dry. Thank YOU, SOVEREIGN KING, that nothing we do or say or think or are can cause YOUR mercy toward us to lessen. YOUR supply is bountiful and it is endless.

Man sometimes looks at himself and sees only his sin. While man may profess faith and aspire to righteousness, he is too immersed in the temptations he cannot resist to attain the holiness he yearns to possess.

But YOU, gracious KING, have paid the price for man's holiness. YOU, JESUS, have washed man's sins away and they are in YOUR wondrous Sea of Forgetfulness.

If man awakens this morning with sin on his mind, YOU give him the strength to flee that temptation.

If man stumbles into a recurring sin, succumbing to lustfulness that he cannot overcome, YOU forgive him not only seven times but "seventy times seven" times. YOUR willingness to forgive exceeds his propensity to sin.

If man hovers between faith and doubt, YOU will send YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to secure him to belief.

YOU are ever faithful and true. YOU are indeed at the point of man's need with YOUR mercy abounding -- every morning, every noonday, every evening, every night -- YOU are always there for every man who aches for forgiveness.
