"The LORD will fulfill [his purpose] for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever — do not abandon the works of your hands." Psalm 138:8
Thoughts on Today's Verse by Phil Ware
First there is conviction: the LORD will finish his work in us! (cf. Philippians 1:6).
Second, there is declaration: the LORD's love endures and doesn't fail (cf. 1 Corinthians 13:8).
Finally, there is supplication: O Lord, don't forget me, your creation (cf. Psalm 139:13-16).
What beautiful balance for our walk with the Lord.
My Prayer...
Heavenly Father and LORD of all things, I am confident that you will accomplish your will and purpose in me. Seeing how you loved and worked through the centuries with the everyday people I find in Scripture,
I know your love will last long after I am gone from this place. However, dear LORD, I do face some struggles and difficulties and I ask you to please intervene with your grace and power in my life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
