First Step -- Leaving
Peter, a fisherman by trade, had to drop his nets, his source of income and sustenance.
Levi had to leave his table. As a tax collector, he had a lot of money under his table, and he kept a hefty percentage. Then Jesus called him, and he left the table and money and everything behind and followed Him.
Here’s the deal. God is calling you out of relationships, lifestyles, and sins that hold you back. He wants you to stop trying to do both the God thing and the world’s things at the same time.
His call is for you to love Him first, to love His presence more than the people and things of this world. Being a disciple of Jesus starts with leaving.
