Hero Bolts Into Traffic to Save Toddler
"I said, 'God, thank You.' She hugged me and I started crying," -Miguel Burgos
A man who risked his life as he bolted into traffic to save an endangered toddler became emotional this week while speaking about the little girl at the center of his daring rescue.
Miguel Burgos told WINK-TV he was inside his car in Lehigh Acres, Florida, when he noticed the unnamed 3-year-old wading into traffic.
He immediately jumped out of his car and started chasing after her. He called a 911 dispatcher and said the girl was in danger and "almost got killed" in the midst of fast-moving cars.
"I stop my car in the middle of the street and I start running after her," Burgos told WINK-TV. "A girl, 3 years old running all by herself—no one chasing her trying to get her. The cars, they don't even stop. It was crazy"
May every believer be this bold and self-sacrificing in order to rescue those who are lost and dying along the Highway of Sin. This brave man saved a child's life for time but people of faith have the opportunity to rescue souls eternally.
"Be brave and of a strong courage."
