Volcano

 My Grandmother's childhood home was in view of this volcano.

Launch Out

 “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” -- Luke 5:4

We learn from this narrative, the necessity of human agency. The draught of fishes was miraculous, yet neither the fisherman nor his boat, nor his fishing tackle were ignored; but all were used to take the fishes.

So in the saving of souls, God works by means; and while the present economy of grace shall stand, God will be pleased by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

When God works without instruments, doubtless he is glorified; but he has himself selected the plan of instrumentality as being that by which he is most magnified in the earth. Means of themselves are utterly unavailing.

“Master, we have toiled all the night and have taken nothing.”

What was the reason of this?

Were they not fishermen plying their special calling? Verily, they were no raw hands; they understood the work. Had they gone about the toil unskilfully? No.

Had they lacked industry? No, they had toiled.

Had they lacked perseverance? No, they had toiled all the night.

Was there a deficiency of fish in the sea? Certainly not, for as soon as the Master came, they swam to the net in shoals.

What, then, is the reason? Is it because there is no power in the means of themselves apart from the presence of Jesus? “Without him we can do nothing.” But with Christ we can do all things.

Christ’s presence confers success. Jesus sat in Peter’s boat, and his will, by a mysterious influence, drew the fish to the net.

When Jesus is lifted up in his Church, his presence is the Church’s power, the shout of a king is in the midst of her. “I, if I be lifted up, will draw all men unto me.”

Let us go out this day on our work of soul fishing, looking up in faith, and around us in solemn anxiety. Let us toil till night comes, and we shall not labor in vain, for he who bids us let down the net, will fill it with fishes.

In the Garden

The Garden by Dr. D. James Kennedy

… Unlike those high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices—first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for He did this once for all when He offered up Himself.     Luke 22:42

When Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane on the night of His betrayal, He realized how horrible was the cup that He was about to drink from—the cup of God’s wrath. This is why He prayed that the cup be passed from Him, if possible. It was not possible, so He submitted to drink it.

Earlier that night, Jesus had said, “For the ruler of this world [Satan] is coming. He has no power over Me” (John 14:30). Satan only has a claim upon those who are guilty of sin and are under the curse. But Christ was the Sinless One, and so Satan had nothing in Him and could not hurt Him at all.

Nevertheless, when Jesus hung upon the Cross, He became the very quintessence of sin. He was the most delectable morsel for that lion that goes about roaring, seeking whom he may devour. Therefore, the very demons of hell, with cackling sound, leaped upon Him and tore at His soul as He endured demonic rage.

Jesus saw all of that in the cup, and His soul recoiled against it. This was one of the last temptations of Christ, and our Savior met it magnificently. “Nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42).

Scripture: In My Father’s house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 14:2

Lyrics:
There’s a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

Refrain
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,

We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.

Refrain

To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.

The Party of Lies

The Party of Lies by Bill Wilson

The extreme left (translated Democratic Party) is batting zero percent on big ticket claims against those with whom it disagrees. In fact, on just about every issue of corruption accusations and misinformation assertions by the Democratic Party and their lapdog legacy media, they have been proven wrong. Not only are they wrong, in many cases members of the accusing class were doing exactly or worse than what they accused. Taking inventory—Russian corruption charges against President Trump were found baseless, yet his opponent Hillary Clinton, her husband and her campaign chairman were milking millions from Russian pay to play schemes through their Clinton Foundation. There’s more.

Joe Biden bragged about holding up Ukraine defense funds until an investigation of his son, Hunter, was dropped by the Ukraine government. Donald Trump was falsely brought up on impeachment charges for asking for information on Hunter’s corruption in Ukraine. Then there is the tip of the iceberg of corruption being played out with Hunter’s laptop, which the news media claimed was a hoax, but now is proven to be true. At the time the New York Post broke the story, every legacy media outlet of note condemned the story as a Russian misinformation campaign. As it turns out, it was a misinformation campaign conducted by the Democratic Party and corporate media to suppress the truth. These are the things that swayed the election in favor of Biden. But wait, the election.

The legacy media and Democratic Party declared there was no election fraud and that the 2020 presidential election was not stolen. They backed up their claim by ridiculing, demonizing, and canceling anyone who begged to differ. Since then, election fraud has been uncovered in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona and Texas. A True the Vote investigation reveals that 137,500 2020 presidential ballots in Wisconsin were unlawfully trafficked, bringing the total to 4.8 million nationwide. Biden “beat” Trump in Wisconsin by less than 21,000 votes. James Bopp, Jr., an elections attorney for 49 years, told the Wisconsin Assembly’s Committee on Campaigns and Elections that Democrats filed 425 lawsuits leading up to the 2020 election to insure ineligible people remained on the voter rolls and to stop anti-fraud protections.

And how about the lies and censorship surrounding the COVID vaccine? Effective? It didn’t prevent the disease or the transmission of it. Safe? The Epoch Times has documented over 400 SCIENTIFIC studies that refute the safety and efficacy of the vaccines, and effectiveness of the lockdowns, and treatments. Yet, those health professionals, doctors and scientists that dare questioned the government’s propaganda on COVID were censored, demonized and many lost their jobs. And hundreds of thousands lost their lives due to mandated government treatments and more are suffering side effects of the vaccine on a day to day basis. Proverbs 19:9 says, “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaks lies shall perish.” There is a whole lot of justice that needs to take place.

I Peter, Chapter One

 I Peter, Chapter One

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

10Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

11Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

12Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

17And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

18Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

21Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Psalms, Chapter Thirty-one

 Psalms, Chapter Thirty-one

(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

2Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.

3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

4Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.

5Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

6I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.

7I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;

8And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

9Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.

10For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.

11I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.

12I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel.

13For I have heard the slander of many: fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

14But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God.

15My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

16Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: save me for thy mercies' sake.

17Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.

18Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

19Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

20Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

22For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Biden Budget Funds Abortion

Michael Foust (Mar 29, 2022)

"Joe Biden likes to say budgets are 'statements of values,' and his budget shows once again that Biden does not care about the life of the unborn child. Biden's decision to eliminate the bipartisan Hyde Amendment in his budget proposal for the second straight year is just one of the many reasons this is the most radical, pro-abortion administration in history." -Andrew Brennan, director of faith communications for the Republican National Committee

airlift

 ...Biden released a proposed budget Monday that, for the second straight year, omits bipartisan language prohibiting taxpayer funding of abortion.

The proposed $5.8 trillion 2023 budget fails to include the Hyde Amendment, a legislative provision dating to the 1970s that prohibits government money from being used for abortions. It originally passed a Democratic-controlled House and Senate just a few years after Roe v. Wade. Every president since then, including Democratic Presidents Obama and Clinton, signed budgets into law with Hyde language

The War Within

 The War Within  by Bill Wilson

America doesn’t need Joe Biden creating a war with misspoken words, the Constitutional Republic of the United States already is at war. It is a war unlike any faced before in history. This is a war where the intent is to create enough casualties to take over the economic wealth without destroying the wealth generating power and by establishing collectivism.

This is accomplished by population reduction and control of the remaining populace. The perfect facilitator was Obama’s socialized medicine where government dictates the ebb and flow of life and death through

1) control of the treatment protocols

2) leverage over the healthcare providers

3) control of the population through fear of death.

It is a war within.

The perfect collaborators are unethical and cooperative corporations motivated by greed and a corporate media to fearmonger, censor dissent, and create social disruption motivated by a socialist political agenda.

There are willing dupes on the extreme left and right that drive unfounded conspiracy narratives that tend to paralyze the general population from taking action. But make no mistake, every crisis is a preamble to reduce freedom.

COVID gave the government precedent to lockdown your ability to freely move and interact; allowed the government and the media to censor both those who objected, and doctors and scientists who challenged the government mandates of treatment.

Now the crisis in Ukraine is giving a way to increase prices  that further limit individual freedoms.

Stand against this diabolical scheme for it will destroy our nation.

Holiness Equals Wholeness

 Holiness = Wholeness by Dr. D. James Kennedy

… for just as you have yielded your members as slaves to impurity and iniquity leading to more iniquity, even so now yield your members as slaves of righteousness to holiness.

— Romans 6:19

How important is holiness? In Hebrews 12:14, we are told to seek after holiness “without which no one will see the Lord.” That is pretty straightforward. You can’t miss it. He declares unequivocally that we are to pursue after holiness, “without which no one will see the Lord.” No man who is not holy is going to live in Heaven with an all-holy God.

It is ironic that the closer we get to the light, the more clearly we see our sins. Imagine a filthy man. He has been wallowing around in the dirt and the slime. He is also blind. Imagine, at the same time, two things slowly happening: he is very gradually, over a period of days, gaining his sight and he is very slowly being cleansed. Those are the objective facts, but what does he perceive? When he was blind, he didn’t see the dirt at all, but now that he is beginning to see, the more he becomes aware of his dirt, the more vile he becomes in his own eyes.

You will never be truly happy if you are not holy, because holiness leads to wholeness—wholeness of mind, spirit, heart, and body. And, of course, it is the Holy Spirit who works this wonder in our lives.

Law Protecting Girls' Athletics

 LAW PROTECTING GIRLS' ATHLETICS

"...When we don't act and we just go with the status quo, we  do more harm to both transgender youth and women athletes." -Rep. Kera Birkeland, the bill's sponsor

On Friday, supermajorities in the Utah house and senate voted to override Gov. Cox's veto of H.B. 11. The new Student Eligibility in Interscholastic Activities law, which will take effect on July 1, 2022, will protect girls who compete in school athletics from being forced to compete—and share locker facilities—with boys who suffer from gender dysphoria.

The newly passed law imposes limits on participation in female sports, by: requiring schools and local education agencies to designate athletic activities by sex; prohibiting a student of the male sex from competing against another school on a team designated for female students.

This is worth noting, because it demonstrates that the law is designed to preserve fair competition in girls' sports for use by actual girls. It doesn't mention anything about preventing biological girls from competing against boys, because that doesn't give them an unfair advantage—unlike their male counterparts who compete against naturally weaker females

Quote from President Ronald Reagan

 “I know in my heart that God desires man to be good, that what is right will always eventually triumph, and there is purpose and worth to each and every life.”   President Ronald Reagan

Psalms, Chapter Thirty

 Psalms, Chapter Thirty

(A Psalm and Song at the dedication of the house of David.) I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

5For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.

7LORD, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?

10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.

11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

James, Chapter Five

 James, Chapter Five

Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

2Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.

3Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

4Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

5Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

6Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.

7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

8Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

9Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

10Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

11Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

18And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

19Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;

20Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
