Honorable Men

George W. Bush has been out of office for seven years but he is very active in visiting our wounded service men and encouraging them by the mere impact of his interest in their lives.

Although we are of lesser stature in the eyes of the world than are former presidents, we still have opportunities to reach out and touch hurting lives with hope and kindness. We still have the chance, almost every day of our lives, to live the love of Jesus before them and to present the salvation message to them.

At this season of thanking our Sovereign Lord for the gifts He has lavished upon us as individuals and as a nation, may we not forget to share those gifts liberally with those around us.

And above all, may we not forget to thank our Savior for the "unspeakable gift" (II Corinthians 9:15) of salvation that we will only cherish more when eternity begins for us.
