Jefferson and Adams

Two patriots who did not always see eye-to-eye grew to have a great bond of friendship as the years unfolded from the inception of the infant country they helped to birth until their final day on earth.

May we learn from them and from their resolution of their differences that today's patriots may not always view the solution to our nation's problems from the same perspective but we can respect those who share our patriotism.

May we learn from them that our unity in our devotion to securing our nation's strength and leadership among nations must supersede any personal differences between us.

May we learn from them that true patriots will always put the good of the country before their own personal aggrandizement.

May we learn from Jefferson and Adams to be true AMERICAN patriots.
