Prayer requests from missionaries to Jerusalem who will be ‘home’ for a while:
1. We leave Thursday morning for a Summer trip to the states, July 7th - September 27th. We appreciate prayer for our outbound from Israel...Travel mercies and no struggles or hindrances of any kind, etc. (We only have 1 hour and 15 minutes layover in Paris...not much time in today's world to make connections for our ongoing flight to Cincinnati).
2. Pray for wisdom and Holy Spirit direction as we schedule our stateside trip; ministry, travel, visits with friends, etc.
3. Pray for Israeli security and defense forces to stem the tide of this recent wave of terror that has been going on for several months now. As some probably have heard a 13 year old girl was murdered in her bedroom a few nights back (the family of the murderer will receive substantial monetary reward from the Palestinian Authority for this act of cowardice). Pray for Benjamin Netanyahu and his government to have wisdom in leading the Land.
Thank you for standing with us as we endeavor to faithfully hold our position on the walls of Jerusalem in this strategic time. Your prayers are very much needed and appreciated.
At the end of this newsletter I've included some recent Israel headlines for further prayer (compiled by David Silver of Haifa).
For Israel and the Nations,
Love and Blessings,
Gary and Sabrina

1. Israel & Turkey Restore Relations (Arutz 7 News - June 27th)
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu officially announced Israel's reconciliation deal with Turkey, at a press conference in Rome on Monday afternoon. The deal has faced fierce opposition within Israel, where many critics have blasted it as a reward to terrorism. Under the deal, Israel will provide $20 million in compensation to the families of jihadists killed aboard the Mavi Marmara ship, which in 2010 attempted to violently break Israel's blockade on Hamas-ruled Gaza. That is in addition to an official Israeli apology - which has already been issued - and a deal to allow Turkish humanitarian aid into Gaza via Israel. In exchange, relations between the two one-time allies will return to normal, and talks will commence on a potentially lucrative natural gas deal. Lets pray that the price that Israel has paid to Turkey will be worth it.
2. New Violence Erupts on the Temple Mount (Arutz 7 News - June 27th)
Clashes erupted on the Temple Mount Monday morning, after Islamists attempted to violently prevent Jews from visiting. Dozens of Muslim extremists - many of them masked - had barricaded themselves in the Al Aqsa Mosque since last night, and had actively stockpiled rocks and other projectiles for use against security forces and Jewish visitors. They also set up numerous obstacles to prevent police from closing the mosque's doors - a tactic often used by Israeli police to kettle in Muslim rioters. As Jewish visiting hours to the holy site began, the Islamists began hurling rocks and other objects at security forces stationed on the Mount. Police, Border Police and Yasam riot police forces succeeded in driving the rioters into the mosque, enabling both Jewish and other non-Muslim visitors to continue at the site for a short period. We need to pray that Israel takes back full control over the Temple Mount.
3. 13 Year Jewish Girl Murdered by Arab Terrorist (Times of Israel News - June 30th)
The mother of a 13-year-old girl murdered in her bedroom in a terror attack Thursday morning tearfully recalled her daughter’s last moments, as politicians and others expressed outrage over the stabbing attack inside a West Bank settlement home. “Like all adolescents during summer vacation, my daughter was asleep ¬ tranquil, calm ¬ and a terrorist came and murdered her in her bed,” Rina Ariel, the mother of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, told reporters outside Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem where the teenager was taken after sustaining critical injuries in the attack earlier Thursday. She arrived with multiple stab wounds to her upper body and was pronounced dead shortly after. Ariel was stabbed many times in her upper body when an Arab 17 year old from from Bani Na’im, jumped the fence into the settlement, broke into her house and stabbed her to death, before also stabbing a civilian security guard who arrived at the scene. Tarayrah was shot and killed by other guards. Please pray that the Israeli government will take the appropriate action in response to this brutal cold blooded murder.
4. All Israelis Accounted For at Istanbul Airport (Times of Israel News - June 29th)
Israelis in Turkey are accounted for and safe after Tuesday’s bloody attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, the foreign ministry in Jerusalem said Wednesday morning. The ministry had earlier Wednesday morning reported that 10 and then two Israelis had failed to make contact with authorities after the assault, which killed dozens and wounded more than 140 at the airport’s busy international terminal Tuesday night. Turkish officials blamed the massacre at the international terminal on three suspected Islamic State group suicide bombers. Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said 41 were dead as well as the three suicide bombers. Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said 150 were wounded. Let give thanks that YHVH protected His people
5. Israeli / Arab Shopping Mall to be Built (Times of Israel News - June 28th)
At an axis point between Jewish and Arab Jerusalem, and just a two-minute drive from the West Bank crossing that leads to Ramallah, Israeli developer and business guru Rami Levy is building the first Israeli-Palestinian mall. He is hoping the power of the free market can be harnessed into a force for coexistence. The idea for the mall, Levy said, comes from his existing shopping centers and supermarkets in the West Bank, which have become unexpected points of friendly interaction between Jews and Arabs looking for jobs and the cheapest prices. Half realist, half dreamer, Levy confronts the fact that Arab and Jews are destined to live together and concludes that they must do what they can to make the best of the situation “and serve each other as best as possible.” If his mall succeeds, Levy said, “it can lead to an understanding that we can do everything together.” Please pray that the sons of Abraham can live in peace side by side. Lets pray for the success of this project.
6. USA Presbyterians Offer Prayer to the Islamic God
The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA) offered prayers to the Islamic deity, Allah. As the fallen Laodicean end times church continues it's rise, we see more and more Chrislam rearing its ugly head from within the congregation. The prayer was led by a representative of the Muslim community on behalf of the Presbyterian Assembly. The representative, Wallid Said, prayed Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path the path of all the prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. We need to pray for these very deceived people.
7. Dramatic Rise in Anti-Semitism (Times of Israel News - June 27th)
A new study has found that harassment of Jews worldwide continued to increase in 2014, the most recent year studied, even as government restrictions on religion and social hostilities involving religion decreased modestly. Pew Research Center’s annual study of 198 countries, released Thursday, also found an increase in religion-related terrorism, with 82 of the almost 200 countries studied experiencing religion-related terrorist activities in 2014, with activities in 60 of them leading to injuries or deaths. Casualties from religion-related terrorist activities have been rising in recent years, the study reported. The study did not address with which religion the majority of the perpetrators of religion-related terrorism identified. However, all the examples cited were of acts perpetrated by Islamist groups and Muslim individuals. Please continue to pray that the Jewish people in the nations will wake up come home to Israel.
