Fire

Fire.

One of man's most important discoveries is fire. Without it, early factories could not have been powered. Without it, the darkness at midnight would have had no rival. Without it, there would be no culinary accomplishments.

Fire.

One of man's most devastating enemies. Without it, acres of forest lands would not be consumed. Without it, homes could not be rendered to ashes. Without it, the devastating habits of tobacco and weed could not be indiscriminately indulged.

Fire represents flip sides of the same coin. What can be used for great good can also be employed to achieve irreparable harm. Much in life has this dual reality associated with it.

A prime example is your own strength--which can also be your weakness. You are generous, and that is a wonderful trait, but if your generosity compels you to lavish your substance upon humanity at the neglect of your family, your strength has become your weakness.

Another example is your ability to see both sides of a position. It's great to be objective, but being unable to take a position renders you unable to effectively pursue a goal.

Are you able to assess yourself objectively, to ascertain your ability to use your strength to advantage without sabotaging your ultimate goal?

That objectivity is one of your most essential gifts. If you use it well, it will serve you faithfully. If you do not, it will pull you into the mire of your inability to discern the viable course to pursue in any situation.

Your strength, like fire, can be your enemy or your friend...it all depends upon how you handle it.
