Slavery
was (and is) abhorant...the lives that were sacrificed in order to
eradicate that evil institution from our land were not laid down in
vain. It is important that we recognize the motivation behind the
"Rebels" in the South as well as the motivation of the "Yankees" in the
North.
It is essential that those who represent both sides today face the reality that slavery still exists in some parts of the world, that human trafficking is an insidious slavery, and that those who oppose this evil must bind together to eradicate this horror wherever it exists.
It is not flags and statues and symbols of the Confederacy that are our enemy but the wickedness in the hearts of men who would propagate the evil of slavery yet today.
Let your cause be righteous.
Let your effort be well-guided.
Let your voice cry out against the sin that IS, rather than the sin that WAS.
