LORD JESUS, we come before YOU this morning and ask YOU to bathe the
hearts and minds of those who have assembled in CHARLOTTESVILLE in YOUR
love. No matter what they have come to protest, let them feel YOUR
presence and let the power of YOUR HOLY SPIRIT engulf them. Let them
see one another as YOU see them. Let them feel toward one another as
YOU feel.
YOUR HOLY WORD THE BIBLE tells us that "GOD IS LOVE."
YOUR HOLY WORD THE BIBLE tells us that "GOD IS LOVE."
We know that LOVE sent YOU to the CROSS, dear JESUS, and we know that
LOVE causes YOU to weep because of the negative emotions that are
stirring within the hearts of people who YOU created for YOURSELF.
We ask YOU to take this situation that the devil intends for evil and to turn it around for good. We ask YOU to so fill and overwhelm the hearts of the people assembled in CHARLOTTESVILLE that they will lay down the negative feelings they brought to this place and embrace one another in FORGIVENESS and in LOVE.
YOUR WORD tells us that "LOVE NEVER FAILS." We ask that YOU allow LOVE--YOUR LOVE--to arise within each precious soul and to use that LOVE to pull down the strongholds of prejudice and hatred--any negative thing--within the hearts of man.
Over the hearts in CHARLOTTESVILLE and within the hearts of people everywhere, we declare the powrer of LOVE that NEVER FAILS.
In YOUR MIGHTY, MATCHLESS NAME we pray, JESUS. Amen.
