Several years ago, a CHRISTIAN gentleman had the opportunity to have as
his seatmate on an overseas flight, a young woman who was doing
research for her doctoral thesis on the phenomena of the HOLY SPIRIT in
old European churches.
The scholar had discovered that in every case she investigated, there had been a profound move of the HOLY SPIRIT with the evidence sited in Mark 16:17-20 at the inception of each church (among many) she researched for her study.
And, in the case of each, as the church became established and accepted, the evidence of the HOLY SPIRIT was abandoned for social prominence and political influence.
Beth Moore challenges believers to return to the PENTECOSTAL POWER that is their gift from the LIVING GOD.
"17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." Mark 16:17-20

I hope what I saw in Orlando last week is just a foreshadowing of things to come.
