Can We See the Beauty?

The beauty of the changing seasons is just one of the glorious pictures the LORD our GOD paints for us. As we survey HIS earth, we are overwhelmed with the beauty with which HE has surrounded us.

HIS handiwork is lovelier than that of the most famous of earth's artists and the scope of HIS creation extends far beyond what the human eye can behold.

How do we react to the wonders that unfold before us each day?

Do they make us bow our heads in reverent thanks?

Most commonly, we take them for granted. We walk by the wonders the HOLY ONE has fashioned with the WORD of HIS MOUTH with abject indifference. We have seen them a million times and we are not impressed.

We may marvel at the latest design of our favorite automobile, we may extol the latest fashion trends, we may be in awe of the lavish mansions of the rich and famous, but we are essentially oblivious to the glories of the handiwork of the wondrous ARTIST who lavishes us with inimitable beauty.


Can we awaken our sensibilities to what is truly worthy of our wonder?

Can we lift our praise to the ONE who sets HIS FINERY before us without charge?

Can we allow our hearts to be compelled toward the heart of JESUS who gave HIS life so that we may be alive to the wonder of earth and to the eternal glory of HEAVEN?
