Netflix Scam

Netflix Scam
Each week, new scams appear and this is why we must always be cautious when we have the feeling to witness something abnormal.
For example, we now know that when we receive a strange file for no reason from someone, it is best not to open it before making sure that the file was sent intentionally and above all, that it is always our friend who has the control of his/her account!
But we can learn from our mistakes and what we are told on the Internet, malicious people always have new ideas and that's why they always find new tricks to trap us.
So, the new scam is pretty brilliant and we hope it won't trap too many people.
This time, hackers are using the trust that people have to Netflix, to trap them. The scam is simple and we have already seen many scams which used a strategy similar to this one in the past.
Roughly speaking, the victim receives an e-mail notification that seems to come directly from Netflix.
The e-mail informs the victim that she/he will have to update the method of payment:
"Hello, Sorry for the interruption, but we are having trouble authorizing your Credit Card. Please visit:
... to enter your payment information or to use a different payment method. When you have finished, we will try to verify your account again. If it still does not work, you will want to contact your credit card company.
If you have any questions, we are happy to help. Simply call us at any time on 5539 4241 5353. -The Netflix Team"
However, you guessed it, the e-mail wasn't sent by Netflix, but from malicious people who have the firm intention to "phish" you.
When you click on the link in the email, you are redirected to a website that looks like Netflix and when you update your banking details, they will be directly collected by the hacker who owns the fake website.
Thus, in the event that someone tries to trap you with this type of email, delete it immediately and above all, do not click on the link in the email. And if you ever have doubts about your Netflix account, go directly to their official website to get in touch with the company.
Finally, do not hesitate to inform you friends and family, to pay close attention to these emails
