Beating a Dead Horse or...? by Bill Wilson
Not to beat a dead horse, but when it comes to freedom of speech and religion, you should be equipped to counter those who are uninformed or lack education surrounding the facts. The cry-baby "journalists" of the mainstream last week came together and demonstrated without a doubt they were against President Trump.
Oh, they tried to disguise it as standing up for freedom of the press, but the moment was used to portray the president as a tyrant, when he has never advocated for curbing the press-just for accountability to the truth. We know that since he was elected, 90% of the stories about him have been negative compared with only 20% negative on the previous president. But here is the rest of the story.
Aaron Blake of the Washington Post on August 14 tweeted, "A majority of Republicans (51%) now regards the media as the enemy of the American people." He was citing an unnamed poll. But in keeping with the media's political intolerance, ideological bigotry, and propagandizing of facts, it is what he didn't tweet that was the real story.
Blake failed to mention that only 5%--that's five percent-of Democrats polled believed the news media was the enemy of the people. Stop and think about this. Why is this so? It is so because the media promotes the Democratic Party agenda with great zeal. The media is so unbalanced in its reporting that 95% of Democrats believe the media is on their side.
It's not that stories about the Democratic Party and liberals, progressives, communists in government and industry don't exist replete with corruption, conspiracy, and skullduggery, The news media just refuses to write about it. Instead, they cover those who oppose their views.
And they write about not only what they believe is bad, they also devise ways to make fake news to accentuate the negative-just as they did with these editorials last week claiming Trump wanted to shut down freedom of the press. It just didn't meet the straight-face test.
At the same time, the most progressive, liberal president in history, the immediate past president, only received 20% negative stories from the same press.
It should be obvious to anyone that this gaggle of so-called journalists are so biased and politically intolerant that they have convinced themselves that those who disagree with them are the enemies of the people. And they treat them as such. Let's hold accountability on this issue because when these journalists attack the truth, they attack you. Yet, as we have seen, they fear that people will harm them because the president calls them enemies. Cowards all. They want accountability to their own whims.
Not to beat a dead horse with repeated articles about lying journalists, but rather let us all beat the drum of truth. As the Lord said in Zechariah 8:16, "Speak you every man the truth to his neighbor; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates."
Just because journalists won't report the truth, doesn't mean we can't speak it.
