DON'T GIVE UP
From my experience on a college soccer team,I can tell you how much it hurts for a runner to push past the "side stitch"
During soccer camp we had a day that was called, "Death Day." It required us to run a lap around the college then to do anywhere from 50-100 pushups and sit-ups, take a swig of water and run it again....four times in total.
On top of this we would end the day running hills. WE WERE DEAD!! But, when I pushed past the "runners wall" I felt like Forrest Gump and I could run like the wind blows!
When it came to game day all of that running paid off. We built up a strong core, strong legs, and physical endurance.
Today, we are all tired and weary. We feel the "side stitch" in our spirit man. We don't feel like we can take another step. The spiritual winds don't seem to be blowing.
But, God!! He steps in and picks us up!
"Let us not become weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9
Today, lift your head. Drink from the LIVING WATER and eat THE BREAD OF LIFE. Be still and know that He is God. And let's all "be there" for each other.
“Never give in, never give up, never, never, never, never--in nothing, great or small, large or petty -- never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. Winston Churchill
