 To a Beloved Pastor

Someone dearly loved slipped quietly into the arms of JESUS on the last day of the first month of 2021. He took with him a portion of my heart that he has possessed since 1973.

Though time and distance have kept us apart, the strong cords of GOD'S own love have held us together through the years and the decades that have come between us. Though eternity has claimed him, he will abide on earth through my lifetime.

Thank you for the warm welcome that embraced a young Yankee family into the warm Southern hospitality you extended.

Thank you for your beautiful family that received us as their own.

Thank you for the powerful words of faith that girded a new Christian in the doctrines that are everlasting truth.

Thank you for the love you conveyed -- a love so pure and lofty and good that it obviously flowed from the very heart of JESUS.

Thank you for the unparalleled example you have been of what a true Christian is to be.

Thank you, Pastor. As long as I live, I will love you, and I will miss you until I see you again at His throne.
