A Christian's Role in a Fallen World by Bill Keller
What can you as a Christian do to counter the wickedness that is so pervasive in today's world? How can you endeavor to bring about the transformation of the souls of the lost from darkness to light? How can you strive to bring forth the move of the Holy Spirit of God that will generate revival?
First, pray. Never underestimate the power of prayer. You need to pray fervently for this nation to turn back to God. You need to pray for God to help us live our lives as true ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to pray for God to give you courage and boldness to proclaim the truth of His Word to those He brings into your life each day. You also need to pray for God to guide and direct you to where He wants you to be to serve Him. God has a plan and purpose for each one of our lives, and we must yield ourselves daily to Him so that He can work through our lives.
Second, share your faith and the truth of God's Word with others. Witnessing is not an option but something God has commanded us to do. God will open the right doors, to give you the opportunities each day to sow the seeds of your faith into the hearts of the lost around you so those seeds can blossom into the fruit of salvation. Your loudest witness will not be the words you speak, but the way you live your life. PEOPLE NOTICE. The child of God is "a living epistle, read of all men." How you live each day before others will always be your most effective witness for Christ.
Lastly, find ways to serve the Lord. God has work for everyone to do. Actually, as Jesus pointed out, there is more work than workers! God has called all of His children to serve Him, each in a unique way. As you seek the Lord He will open doors in your life, guide you where He wants you to be, and use your life to further the Kingdom of God.
EVERY CHILD OF GOD HAS BEEN CALLED INTO HIS SERVICE!
Serving God is how you, how each of us who names the name that is above all names, fulfills our purpose in this life.
