Studying Islam

Studying Islam

Our public schools are awash with religion in some places! Just when it has been decreed that the Bible cannot be read to students, just when prayers in Jesus' name have been banned from football games, just when a high school quarterback has been penalized for raising his hands in praise to the Lord for a touchdown, we discover that all things islamic are being presented to our students in a very positive way.

We find out that many textbook companies are doing a splendid job of historical revisionism. Rather than presenting the facts of history as they are, they are being represented with a positive slant toward the role of islam in history.

Rather than representing the religion of the prophet as one that attacked ships at sea and reduced their crews to slavery, rather than telling how the Western World was discovered because muslims rendered trade routes impassible because of their plunder and murder of traders, our students are being instructed that they have been the defenders of the downtrodden.

Rather than telling the history of slavery in America as it was--muslim slave dealers selling human beings into that godless institution to western profiteers who cared nothing about God and the sacrifice of Christ for the salvation of all humankind, rather than telling our young learners that slavery existed in the muslim world until the 1960s, islam is being purported to be the religion that established human equality.

And the litany of evil against this perverse world view could go on, yet because of generous donations to textbook companies and financially strapped school districts and institutions of higher learning, young people are being fed a stew of lies about a rising threat to freedom that intends to conquer the world through all means available--including education.

Should our children be required to hear and participate in muslim prayers? Parents all over America must speak up with a redounding, "NO!"
