Veterans' Day

Wednesday will be Veterans' Day, the day set aside each year to honor those who have given of their time, their strength, their very life, to advantage this nation and her citizens.

American veterans have, indeed, spent of themselves to advantage all the people of the world!
Two World Wars and countless lesser military campaigns have seen the finest of our young men march off to defend not just the United States but other nations and their people from tyranny.
To those who have fought, we say, "Thank you."

Before those who have died, we bow in gratitude for the lives they gave in our behalf.
To those who suffer, we extend our hand of help.

Before our Holy God, we lift our prayers of thanksgiving for the lives He has called to serve the nation and the world as soldiers who have made our freedom possible.

We thank and praise You, dear Lord, for America and especially for her brave fighting forces.

May Your mercy and grace and protection rest upon this unique land and may Your favor bless her again as her people bless You.
