What holds us back?
Why to we put off the decision regarding CHRIST that impacts us in time and determines our eternity?
Could it be unbelief? Could it be that despite our outward profession of faith we have inner doubt?
Could it be insincerity? Could it be that in spite of our trip to the altar, our confession of CHRIST was insincere?
Could it be sin? Could it be that a besetting sin holds us in its grasp and we are powerless to disengage ourselves from it?
Could it be arrogance? Could it be that we see ourselves as too pure, too righteous to need a SAVIOR?
Could it be deception? Could it be that the evil one has ensnared our mind and rendered it incapable of discerning the truth of our need for the LORD'S sacrificial death in our behalf?
Whatever it is that holds us back from running to JESUS' outstretched arms, we must employ the power HE has instilled within us to loose ourselves that we may be free, that we may be born again, that we may be Heaven-bound.

Christ went more willingly to the cross than we do to the throne of grace.
