The "OTHER" St. Peter's

St. Peter's Church in Harpers Ferry is perhaps the prettiest site in Harpers Ferry, WV.

The history of this small town is kept alive and virtually unchanged from the way things were over 100 years ago at the onset of the Civil War. Your visit there will allow you to stroll through the pages of the calendar to a different place in time.

Although tensions were high at the onset of America's most costly war, it was yet a simpler time and place from the stress-ravaged environment in which we find ourselves today.

Yet the same CHRIST who was worshipped then is worshipped here and now. The same HOPE that stirred the hearts of those on the threshold of war can assure that those of us at the precipice of the worst of all mankind's conflagrations may abide in "HIS PEACE THAT PASSES UNDERSTANDING."
