School Is Beginning
Some of our school districts have already opened their doors to this year's crop of students and others will soon follow suit.

People of faith must support our schools in their prayers. There has been a terrible decline in academic performance and in behavior among our students since prayer, since CHRISTIAN FAITH, was removed from our schools.

Our teachers are challenged by the abysmal behavior of the students in their charge, which includes disrespect, academic lethargy, and sometimes violence.

We who believe in CHRIST must attempt to fill the gap left by our unfortunate ruling that schools must be GOD-free, JESUS-free zones where the enemy of the soul is free to do his mischief.

Here is a suggested prayer that you might consider praying daily for the students and teachers in your acquaintance, for your community's schools:

CHRISTIAN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS, your brothers and sisters in CHRIST are believing with you that the * "same power that raised JESUS from the dead and lives in you" will conform the hearts of everyone involved in your classroom to the heart of the LORD.

We are believing with you that the "living epistle of your life" will be read of all, that your godly life will be a silent sermon of the presence and of the peace and of the power and of the love of the LORD within you.

We add our faith to yours that the CHRIST who loves each member of your class--from the most shy and silent member to the most unkind and godless disrupter in your class--will move by the power of HIS HOLY SPIRIT over you and over every occupant of your classroom, transforming it into a haven of peace and joy and learning and love.

It is in the mighty, matchless name of JESUS that we pray. Amen.
