Chuck Schumer launches into Supremes: 'You will pay!' -
A reporter attending protests at the Supreme Court on Wednesday as it heard arguments over the constitutionality of a Louisiana law requiring abortionists to have hospital admitting privileges caught longtime abortion advocate Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., issuing what sound to many like a threat to the two associate justices appointed by President Trump.
Alexandra DeSanctis of National Review wrote on Twitter that the Senate minority leader was addressing a "pro-abortion crowd" that booed when he mentioned Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neal Gorsuch. "I want to tell you Justice Kavanaugh and Justice Gorsuch: You have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price," Schumer said.
- Father in heaven, we pray that You shut the door on Chuck Schumer, for he advocates the killing of innocent babies which screams from a murderous heart of hate. He will one day face the Lord who will judge his words and give him a just reward in eternity. We ask that You strengthen Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch to stand strong and fight for the lives of the unborn children. We pray in the Name of Jesus.
- "Beloved follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God." (3 John 11)
McConnell blasts Schumer for 'shameless effort to bully' Supreme Court
McConnell said Schumer's threats were "shameless efforts to bully" the nation's judges. "The minority leader threatened two associate justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. Period," McConnell said. "There's no other way to interpret that."
Schumer refused to apologize, although he admitted he "should not have used the words." He trotted out the deflection his office issued Wednesday night, stating, "My point was there would be political consequences for the president and Senate Republicans if the Supreme Court, with the newly appointed justices, stripped away the right to choose." However, his comments were directed to the justices, not the president or Senate Republicans.
- Almighty God, we pray for Mr. Schumer. Put him before a mirror as he speaks such shameless irrefutable words and threats to the Supreme Court justices, because the Lord will one day judge him for every word that proceeds out of his mouth. We pray his words fall to the ground and bear no impact against the Republican judges. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "Behold the Lord comes with ten thousand of His saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." (Jude 14-15)
Mitch McConnell Rebukes Chuck Schumer for Threatening Supreme Court Justices - LifeNews
Senate Republicans are furious at pro-abortion Senator Chuck Schumer regarding his threats against Justice Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh over their votes on a pro-life Supreme Court case. Senator Josh Hawley has said he will bring up a motion to censure Schumer; but, meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell went to the Senate floor to rebuke him. "There is nothing to call this except a threat," he said. "At the very best, his comments were astonishingly reckless and irresponsible," McConnell said. "The minority leader of the United States Senate threatened two associate justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. Period."
McConnell asked Schumer to "withdraw his comments and apologize." "Contrary to what the Democratic leader has tried to claim, he very clearly was not addressing Republican lawmakers or anybody else," McConnell said. "He literally directed the statement to the justices, by name. And he said, quote, 'if you go forward with these awful decisions,' which could only apply to the court itself. The minority leader of the United States Senate threatened two associate justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. Period. No matter the intention, words carrying the apparent threat of violence can have horrific unintended violence," McConnell later added.
After McConnell's statement, Schumer spoke on the Senate floor and refused to apologize. "Now I should not have used the words I used," Schumer said. "They didn't come out the way I intended to . . . I'm from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language. But in no way was I making a threat. I never, never would do such a thing."
- Almighty God, we trust You to bring to bear every word that was spoken by Mr. Schumer against the Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh. He has shamed his own office and we pray he will be held accountable with penalties. He spoke words that hold evil meaning. God, fight for Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and let no evil words be used against them. In the Name of Jesus we pray.
- "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Jude 3)
Planned Parenthood: Killing Babies in Abortions is a "Constitutional Right Plain and Simple" - LifeNews
Planned Parenthood is shoving women's safety aside in the name of "abortion rights." On Wednesday, the billion-dollar abortion chain joined other abortion activists outside the U.S. Supreme Court to rally against a Louisiana law that requires abortion facilities to have hospital admitting privileges for patient emergencies - just as other outpatient surgical facilities do.
The abortion industry challenged the law, claiming it imposes an "undue burden" on women's access to abortion because two Louisiana abortion facilities may close rather than comply.
"Today is about our right to control our own bodies. To imagine our futures. To be free," Planned Parenthood acting president Alexis McGill Johnson wrote on Twitter. "I promise you this: Planned Parenthood will never stop fighting to keep abortion safe and legal. We will never stop fighting to make it more accessible."
Claiming the support of most Americans, Planned Parenthood cited a poll seemingly showing that 77% of Americans believe abortion should be safe and legal. "Abortion is a constitutional right, plain and simple," the abortion chain wrote in an email to supporters. "But TODAY, as the Supreme Court hears oral arguments in the June Medical Services case, we're faced with a terrifying possibility: that our rights could be gutted in a few short months."
But the abortion industry is not fighting for "rights." It's fighting against laws that keep women safe, laws that even most "pro-choice" Americans support.
- Almighty God, we pray Your hand will stop the practice of abortion in America. The killing of the unborn is an abomination in Your sight, Father God, and we REPENT that this practice has been legalized by man's law in our nation. Have mercy, O Lord, we pray! Close the mouths of all who propagate abortion. Lord, we cry out too, that You will guide and teach all children to cease engaging in premarital sex. We pray in the powerful Name of Jesus.
- "Beloved follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: but he that does evil has not seen God." (3 John 1:11)
