LORD GOD IN HEAVEN

LORD GOD in Heaven,

Please forgive me for not understanding YOU. I cannot begin to comprehend the wonder of YOUR personhood, let alone the glory of YOUR majesty.

I believe that YOU are the TRIUNE GOD who was present at creation, who came to Earth as a BABE, who "grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with GOD and man," who did signs and wonders of healing and deliverance and restoration, who suffered and died a torturous death, who "descended into hell," who rose on the third day, who "ascended into heaven" -- all, so that I, worm that I am, might know YOU and receive YOUR love and be YOUR blood-bought child.

Thank YOU, HOLY ONE of Israel, CREATOR of Heaven and Earth, SUFFERING and RESURRECTED SAVIOR, for delivering me from the wiles of the evil one and for saving me from my own proclivity to sin.

Thank YOU, JESUS, for bearing the punishment I deserve and for giving me the crown of righteousness that ONLY YOU deserve to wear.

Help me to share YOUR TRUTH, the TRUTH that sets men free, and help me to love YOU rightly all the days of my life.

Thank YOU for the promise that I will reign with YOU because I have opened my heart to allow YOU to reign in me.
