2020 Election
The media, which has maligned Donald Trump for four years, continues to mock him as he endeavors to assure the November 3rd election was conducted fairly.
This same media has already begun fawning over Joe Biden; we can only imagine that the adulation will continue through his presidency, if indeed he is our duly elected president for the next four years.
The disheartening thing about this election is the numerous accusations of voter fraud seemingly perpetrated by the democrats. Their duplicity challenges my sensibilities because I grew up surrounded by staunch democrats – democrats who were people of honor and integrity; democrats who were the “party of the people.”
The democrats of my youth were staunchly behind “the working man,” and they supported his principles. His principles included valuing life and assuring that every life could be lived in the pursuit of happiness. That happiness revolved around hard work and family.
My parents, my extended family, my neighbors and friends would shudder in disbelief at what their party has become. They would be aghast to know their party had become the proponents of death and deception.
Were they still living, I believe they would be as shocked and dismayed as I am because of what the democrats have become. One thing I’m sure of, they would not have changed their principles to suit the mores of the day.
What would they have done?
They’d have become Republicans.
