O, God our Father and our Savior! We come before You, availing ourselves of the "same power that raised Jesus from the dead and dwells in us," Romans 8:11, claiming the word You have given to us which invites us to "ask anything in the name of Jesus, and it shall be done." John 14:13, 14
Lord, we ask You to touch us by the power of Your Holy Spirit at the point of our need.
We ask You to quicken the minds of those who doubt You and to replace their unbelief with steadfast faith.
We ask You to touch the hearts of those who are filled with hatred for Your truth and for Your people and to overflow those same hearts with compassion and with love that flows from Your own heart.
We ask You to touch those who are sick and to deliver them from the clutches of disease because the stripes You bore upon Your sinless back purchased healing, according to Isaiah 53:5.
Your Word tells us that You have "borne our griefs and carried our sorrows," Isaiah 53:4, so we ask You to lift the heavy burden of the oppressed--whether the need be financial, emotional, professional, physical--whatever its source.
Lord let it never be that we "have not because we ask not." James 4:3 Let it never be that Your people suffer lack in any area of life where Your provision is full and free because we neglect to claim the gifts You have for us.
Lord God in Heaven who holds the earth in the hollow of Your hand, we claim all that You have said is ours. We say like the father who approached You on the dusty road of Galilee, "Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief." Mark 9:24 We exercise the faith we have and we implore You to supply the lack.
Jesus, we bind together in the power of Your name, knowing that You have assured, "Where two or more gather in My name, there am I in the midst of them." Matthew 18:20
Lord, let us walk in the victory You have supplied to us; let it be apparent that we are "more than conquerors," Romans 8:37, for when the unbelieving world sees Your power manifested in us, they, too might come to faith.
It is in Your mighty, matchless name we pray, JESUS. Amen.
