"Every good and perfect gift..." What an amazing thought.
Life is fickle. Sometimes a man can be on top of the world. He finds himself being promoted at work, things are going well in his personal relationships, he is held in high esteem among his peers...the goals and aspirations of his heart are in the process of being fulfilled.
Then, like a shifting wind, something goes awry. Suddenly, without warning, things take a downward turn. Someone at work performs more impressively than he does and gets the promotion he thought was his. A solid relationship in which he had great joy goes sour. People no longer regard him with respect but with disdain --or worse--with pity. His hope is dashed and his heart is broken.

But in the
spiritual realm, this is not the case...it cannot be the case. In the
spiritual realm, a man is assured that every gift is good and perfect,
for his God is "the Father of Lights" James 1:17, and there is no shadow
of turning in Him. HE does not change. His gifts and calling are
"without repentance." Romans 11:29
How can this be? It is because the Holy One has assured the man who trusts in Him that "all things work together for good to those who love the Lord, to those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
Something that seems to be a reversal is only that--something that SEEMS to be a reversal! In reality, it is a step toward the good and perfect will of God that HE is working out for the believer.
TRUST HIM! "He is faithful and just." I John 1:9 "He will keep that which a man has committed to Him." II Timothy 1:12
