In the Midst of Danger

We live in a world that is fraught with danger and uncertainty. We live in a world where the person who works beside us, who lives next door to us may be harboring murderous schemes for not only our demise but for the destruction of all we believe in.

There is a reason, in response to ruthless attacks, that co-workers and neighbors of the perpetrators express unbelief. The evil ones veil their murderous intent behind smiles and courtesy. They feign acceptance and mutual respect but secretly plot our destruction.

Indeed, DECEPTION is a tenet of the faith of the haters. They are admonished in their holy book to play the friend but to take no friends among us. In their minds, that are steeped in hatred for any but their own, we are worthy only of death.

It is easy to succumb to anxiety and fear at times like these. The enemy that confronts us is faceless and nameless. It isn't an army that has amassed against us but a friend who harbors a secret hatred for us that can be quenched only by our blood.

At times like these, we must anchor our hope and our live and our future to the ONE who has promised "HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US." Hebrews 13:5

We must anchor our hope to JESUS who has assured, "GREATER IS HE WHO IS IN YOU THAN HE WHO IS IN THE WORLD." I John 4:4
Our God still speaks. Our God still heals. Our God still comforts. Our God still provides. Our God still creates. Our God still restores. Our God still redeems. Our God still manifests. Our God is I Am. Not "I was."
