Psalm 19:1-14

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.
2 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has He set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and His circuit goes to the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse me from secret faults, O Lord.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

 

 

Forgive Me

Forgive me for the times I fail You.

Even when I try the best I know how, I fall short.

Without Your help, I can't please You.

Please be with me, to overcome who I am, to help me become who You want me to be.

Just Say, "JESUS"!

A long-time Christian recalls the incident when she, as a new believer, was under demonic attack.

She had a 'dream' or a vision of a demonic entity pursuing her. Her attempt to escape appeared futile, as she was about to be overtaken by this evil force.

In her moment of desperation she implored, "JESUS, JESUS, JESUS, JESUS..." and the evil apparition vanished away.

When you don't have the words to say, just say JESUS.

LOVE Rescued Me

How many times has the Lord rescued you? From accident? From disease? From slander? From temptation to sin?

How many times has He averted circumstances from you that may have brought harm to you and you didn't even know they were there?

His constant watchcare over you never ends. He is guarding you day and night, wherever you are, whatever you're doing. His love and His kindness to you are constant.

Can you thank and praise Jesus for the times He has blessed you with the sense of His Holy Spirit there to guide you, with His angels watching over you? Can you thank and praise Him for the times you were unaware and the power of Heaven was around you to shield you from harm?

 Don't presume that you may do your own thing today and get around to doing "God's thing" tomorrow. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. Receive Jesus as your Savior today and live all your tomorrows, and all eternity, in the hollow of His hand, in the presence of His love.

One of the great evils in our time is abortion, and it is done in the name of choice. The only choice the abortionists ever give anybody is Tuesday or Friday!

Any of you who may be pro-choice, I just want to say this to you: You ought to get down on your knees and thank God that your mother wasn’t pro-choice.

It is interesting that abortions for incest, rape, and the life of the mother constitute less than 2% of the total number of abortions in this country, and yet they constitute 98% of the rhetoric of the pro-abortionists.

Thankfully, many Christians are providing alternatives to abortion. There are now more crisis pregnancy centers than abortion clinics. Many are seeing abortion for what it is and are repenting of having anything to do with it.

And there is mercy and grace from the Lord for those who repent and call on Jesus.

We must not be smug or self-righteous toward those who have had abortions, for we, too, are sinners. But what we should do is to ask ourselves, "What can I do to help those who are struggling with a crisis pregnancy or the pain of a past abortion?"

God's Alive!

There is power in the Word of God.
There is power in the Living Christ.
There is power in faith.
There is power in love.

What power?

Content

There is a level of maturity required in order to assume responsibility for oneself. Those who have not become grown up enough to do that will always find a way to allocate blame for whatever goes wrong to someone else.

There is a level of maturity required in order to accept the status quo without complaint; to see it as temporary; to view ones current circumstances as a stepping stone to long range goals.

There is a level of maturity required in order to express gratitude to other people who extend their assistance in difficult times and to lift ones heart in thanksgiving and praise to the Holy One who is the giver of all good gifts.

There is a level of maturity required before one can say with the Apostle Paul, "I have learned to be abased and I have learned how to abound. I have discovered that in whatever state I am to be content." Philippians 4:11, 12

How Long?

How much are the people of America willing to relinquish in order to attain a nanny state?

How much are they willing to sacrifice of their freedom and the power that the Constitution invests in them in order to reap the largess of politicians who will promise them anything in exchange for gaining an iron grip over those who were intended to maintain a vigilant watch over Washington's powrer-grabbing machinations?

How long will it be until the American citizen realizes that he cannot be a ward of the state and be free?

When Will You Bow?

The Bible says at the name of Jesus EVERY knee shall bow, and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The actual Greek in this passage says MUST bow. The fact is there will come a day in the life of EVERY person ever born when he will bow to Jesus and confess Him as Lord!

 

The only question that remains is WHEN.

 

God has given man the free will to accept His gift of everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ, or reject that gift. That is a choice each person must make during his life.

The Bible warns us that tomorrow is promised to no one. That is why the Word says TODAY is the day of salvation. The ultimate choice each living person has to make is to bow before Jesus and confess Him as Savior and Lord, as the way to receive God’s free gift of everlasting life. To reject Christ is to choose to spend eternity separated from God.

EVEN THE PERSON WHO CHOOSES TO REJECT CHRIST DURING HIS LIFE WILL COME A MOMENT WHEN HE MUST STAND BEFORE GOD, WHEN HE WILL BOW BEFORE JESUS AND CONFESS HIM TO BE LORD.

When Pontius Pilate died, he bowed his knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When Nero died, he bowed his knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When Buddha died, he bowed his knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When Gandhi died, he bowed his knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When Hitler died, he bowed his knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When Madelyn Murray O’Hare died, she bowed her knee to Jesus and confessed Him to be Lord!

When any person dies rejecting Christ, before he is cast into everlasting darkness he will bow to Jesus and confess Him to be Lord.

The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground. It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.

The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is powerful wise and deadly. 

Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you are in the spiritual realm God takes over your battles. 

Don't fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle grounds like the Eagle and let God take charge through your earnest prayer. You'll be assured of clean victory.

Pray without ceasing.

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus Christ for 30 pieces of silver. But it’s so important to remember that Judas loved Jesus (at least, he loved the Jesus that he ministered alongside healing the sick and feeding the poor), but Judas also loved money (John 12:6) and being in a position of power (Mark 14:43-45). This would make him hate the Jesus that called out the Pharisees (Matthew 23), drove out the money changers from the temple (John 2), and told rich people that it was humanly impossible for the rich to enter heaven (Mark 10:25). Most megachurch pastors betray Jesus for fame and fortune. They love the Jesus that loves the world (John 3:16), but they hate the Jesus that calls out false teachers (Matthew 24:24), values ministry above merchandise (Luke 14:33), and despises the things the world esteems (Luke 16:15). Most political candidates betray Jesus for power and money. They love the Jesus that supported taxes (Mark 12:17), but hate the Jesus who said “let your statement be ‘yes’ or ‘no’; anything beyond these is of evil.” (Matthew 5:37). They hate the Jesus who defined success as being last, not first (Mark 10:31), and who did not seek the approval of others (John 5:41-44). Judas sold out Jesus to be his own savior. Megachurch pastors have sold out the Biblical Jesus to sell their own version of Jesus (books, music, etc.).  And every four years, politicians sell the name of Jesus Christ for their own seat in the House, the Congress, or the Oval Office. In the end, what’s the difference between 30 pieces of silver and…a 30,000 “member” church? Or 30 million copies of a self-help book? Or a 30% poll rating? Or 30 million votes? No, Judas wasn’t uniquely evil; he was just the first to make the deal. And he certainly isn’t the last.
