What other people think of us is of paramount importance to many people. Young people are especially concerned with fitting in to the 'click' that they desire to be part of.
People carry this desire to fit in into adulthood. They want to have a great job, to live in a fine house, to drive a nice car (or more than one nice car); they want to be members of a lovely country club.
But when all is said and done in the matter of how people are perceived in this life the only perception that will matter is that found in II Timothy 2:15.
How does God see you?
When the Lord judges a man, His judgement won't be based upon the people with whom he associated or the position he held or the home he occupied or the cars he drove.
The Holy One will judge a man on what he did with the TRUTH, on what he did with JESUS WHO IS TRUTH.
How have you handled Jesus? Have you lived as He would have you to live? Have you focused your time and energy on becoming like Him? Have you shared His salvation message with others?
Have you extended a hand of help to those in need? Have you lifted the hopeless into the realm of knowing and trusting the Christ?
Where are you when He calls for someone to serve Him? Are you busily pursuing your own desires or do you say as Isaiah said, "Here am I, Lord, send me"? Isaiah 6:8
