Today is George Washington's Birthday.
A HEAVY BURDEN by Jeff Rouff
In my spirit there has been a heavy burden. It's as if I am sensing a
weeping in the heart of the Lord. The reason? Because there are so many
professing believers that really don't know Jesus.
I recently read a post by a Christian that discernment is not being able to distinguish between right and wrong but being able to distinguish between right and almost right. And because most professing Christians cannot discern that something or someone is just ‘almost right,’ they cannot discern the heart of Jesus either.
We have many genuine people of God who are living righteous lives sounding alarms to warn those who will hear and heed the word they are bringing forth, yet much of the professing church scoffs at them and continues to do whatever they feel like doing--all the while believing they are all right with God.
We have many professing believers bathing themselves in sins of lust and greed and immorality of all sorts and every evil imagination. We have the same folks delving into every heresy and false religion whether it be Contemplative Spirituality, Yoga, Buddhism, Islam, Oneness, etc.
They exhibit a passion to continue on in the path of flesh and error and sin in spite of the many voices of righteousness that the Lord has placed within the hearing of their ears and the view of their spiritual eyes. Yet God says turn and He will receive all who turn and live for Him on His terms. ON HIS TERMS.
To those He has called to be His voice upon this earth He says to come closer than you have ever been before and receive strength and refreshing from the Lord. This is no time to give in or give up. The Lord will have a people who belong only to Him. The Lord will have a pure people. They will shine with the glory of Jesus!
