The Saudis were adamantly opposed to the existence of a Jewish State and FDR promised that the United States would not support the establishment of a nation for the Jews in their ancient homeland, who had suffered so much at the hand of the Nazis during WW II.
Roosevelt died a week later. His successor, Harry S. Truman did support the granting of a homeland for the Jews in the land that GOD had given to them so long ago, and the United States, under Truman, was the first country to recognize Israel.
"I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you." God's promise to HIS ancient people in Genesis 12:3.
