Our nation is at a crossroad. We as a people must decide whether we will continue as we are--obsessed with possession of things, oppressed with hatred for our brothers, devoid of love for our SAVIOR--or if we will take account of who we are as a people (that accounting must begin with individuals) and return to the GOD of our fathers.
That decision will determine who we are as we go forward as men of faith and as we go forward as a nation.
Will we be "under GOD" as our Pledge of Allegiance declares, or will we be "gone under" as President Reagan warned we would be if we forgot that we are "under GOD"?
May we heed the admonition found in I Thessalonians 5:8:
"Put on as a Helmet the Hope of Salvation and the Breastplate of Faith and Love..." and do battle with the forces of evil that would undo us as individuals and as a nation.
"Put on as a Helmet the Hope of Salvation and the Breastplate of Faith and Love..." and do battle with the forces of evil that would undo us as individuals and as a nation.
