We all know people who mock GOD, who mock the notion that a GOD-KING came from glory to live as a humble man and to die a criminal's death in order that you and I might be redeemed from the penalty of our sin.
The story is told of such a man during medieval times whose mockery of the HOLY ONE was continual. One day, this man stood in the public square and challenged GOD.
He said, "If YOU exist, meet me here tomorrow when the sun is straight up in the sky...I challenge YOU to prove that YOU are LORD over me!"
The next day, there was quite an assemblage of people at the appointed place, at the appointed time.
The mocker ranted and raged against JESUS, who did not make an appearance in person, but at the time designated by the mocker, an insect alighted on his nose and bit him.
The bite became infected and in that day, without penicillin or other 'wonder drugs,' the infection caused his death.
Coincidence? Perhaps.
Or perhaps it is the fulfillment of the WORD which says, "GOD IS NOT MOCKED."
"Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." Galatians 6:7

Pray for wisdom and clarity in your life so that you and those you spend time with don't mock sin or make light of the Gospel.
