Change

Some things never change.

Of course, much that affects our lives changes all the time. In a free nation, the people have the right and responsibility to vote for their leaders every four years, so the people in power change.

Employment situations vary, and as they do, families are required to pack their possessions and sell their homes and move to new locations.

Friendships run their course.

Children grow up.

Parents grow old.

Adjusting to the flux of circumstances requires the willingness to 'go with the flow,' to 'roll with the punches.' An individual's ability to meld into new situations will greatly impact his ability to attain success.

But, some things never change. The weather, for example, is out of man's control. He can adjust to the weather, but he can't alter it.

In matters of the heart, emotions are still relatively universal among the children of man. Everyone reacts to hate, to condemnation, to mockery, to acceptance, to trust, to love in virtually the same ways.

The one thing that never changes under any circumstances is man's need for a SAVIOR, his desperation for ONE to rescue him from the pit of sin into which he was born.

Man may seek salvation in "all the wrong places." Man may seek salvation through false gods and false belief systems. Man may seek salvation through himself, but all these are mere rabbit trails that lead to a false sense of security or to a lamentable sense of despair.

There is but one place in which salvation may be found and that is in the life, death, and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST.

JESUS is the LIGHT that dispels all darkness. JESUS is the hope that overcomes all despair. JESUS is the truth that challenges all deception. JESUS IS THE HEALER who cures all disease. JESUS is the SAVIOR who has paid the price for all sin.

May every man and every nation allow JESUS to be all HE is at the point of every need.
