Thoughts on MICAH 7:8

“REJOICE NOT OVER ME, O, MINE ENEMY, FOR WHEN I FALL, I SHALL ARISE; WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS, THE LORD WILL BE A LIGHT TO ME.” MICAH 7:8

We live in a fallen world and because we do, each of us will be broken at some point in life. Many of us have already been broken--many times--and the future may hold yet more experiences with the  
hammer that is swung against us or the heel that is used to crush us. Whether in those times of breaking or in the times of binding up, we must remember that the LORD is with us and it is HIS intention to use all things in our lives for our ultimate good.

WE DO NOT WALK BY SIGHT, WE WALK BY FAITH.
AS YOU BELIEVE, SO SHALL IT BE DONE UNTO YOU.

May JESUS help each of us to appropriate the truths stated above so we will appropriate the power of our faith that enables us to walk as conquerors, as though the victory were already ours, rather than by
what we see that causes our shoulders to droop and our heads to be downcast.

In so doing, we will also be walking in the power of what we believe--in that power that tells us confidently that what we believe is what will happen.

"Whatever is true, whatever is pure, whatever is holy, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report--think on these things."

We can't control the words or the actions of another, but we can control what we think about them, about everything that touches us. 

Ask the LORD JESUS to help you to think good and lofty thoughts, to project yourself as "more than a conqueror," and even your enemies will walk timorously around you! Your confident assurance will confound them.
