Fifty-four million evangelical Christians stayed home.
Stayed home.
What does that say about how fervently we believe our profession of faith in CHRIST?
Certainly, our choices in the last election were not between the SAVIOR and the devil. Neither candidate was Mother Teresa, and the sins and foibles of each candidate were open to public scrutiny, but the clear line between the practices and policies of the candidates was quite clear.
Without rehashing the pros and cons of Trump and Clinton (and Bernie Sanders whose candidacy was sabotaged), may we reflect upon the words of Ted Cruz.
May we take to heart the right we have to vote for the candidate who most closely shares our values.
May we assume with vigor the responsibility we have to vote for the candidate who boldly articulates our values.
May we do what we can to return this nation we love to the flag, under which so many have been released from the agony of tyranny.
May we do what we can to return this nation we love to the foot of the cross where so many have been eternally set free from the penalty of sin.
