Hell
God doesn't want anybody to be in hell. The fallen angels who are relegated to the nether region of eternal punishment will be there because they rebelled against God.
Heaven's chief musician, Lucifer, declared, "I would be like the Most High," Isaiah 14:14, but he wasn't expressing his desire to be good, as the Lord would have him to be good, or to be faithful as God might expect of a heavenly being.
The intent of the fallen one was that he would be worshiped.
ONLY GOD deserves worship. The desire of the heart of a created being to usurp what belongs only to the Holy One caused him to be cast out of heaven. A third of the angels followed him in his rebellion and they, too, were removed forever from the presence of the LORD.
Man was created for fellowship with God. When Eve disobeyed the command of GOD, when she ate of the forbidden fruit and gave of it to Adam to eat, they evidenced the same rebellion that caused the fall of Lucifer.
The same eternal separation that befell him should have been their portion, but the Holy One knew their frame and He had devised a plan that would allow them to escape that bitter punishment. The Second Person of the Triune Majesty would pay the penalty for their sin--HE WAS "THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH." Revelation 13:8
No person who ever walks this Vale of Tears, no person who ever succumbs to the lure of temptation, need bear the weight of his sin upon himself, for Christ has taken his sin and rendered it powerless at the cross.
Will every man receive this "unspeakable GIFT?" II Corinthians 9:15 According to the Word, some will not:
"The message of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us who are saved, it is the power of GOD." I Corinthians 1:18-31
Every man has the opportunity to claim Christ's "unspeakable GIFT." May you be one of them.
1 Corinthians 1:18-31
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks (Gentiles) seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God (that one sinless MAN can die for the sins of all men) is wiser than men; and the weakness of God (Christ Jesus dying on the cross) is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; God has chosen, things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
