JESUS Is Love

How do you define LOVE?

We love our parents. We love our families. We love our children. We love our friends.

Young ladies search to find the special someone with whom they will spend their lives, knowing some must kiss a lot of frogs before they find their prince. Young guys hope the beauty they've found will be as exquisite on the inside as she is on the outside.

The Bible admonishes us to "love our neighbor as ourselves," Mark 12:30-31. Beyond that, it tells us to "love our enemies," Matthew 5:44.

The high standard established by our HOLY GOD is HIS OWN. He loved us and died for us, "while we were yet sinners," Romans 5:8.

God's immutable Word tells us that if we love only those who love us, we are like the heathen, the unconverted, whose love is restricted to those who first love them. (See Matthew 5:46.)

And when we define LOVE as it is defined for us in the Holy Book, we understand why HIS broad swath LOVE must cover everyone, for it tells us that "GOD IS LOVE," I John 4:8.

When JESUS lives in our heart, we have love for everyone because HE LOVES EVERYONE.

How do we know HE LOVES EVERYONE? BECAUSE HE DIED FOR EVERY ONE OF US.
