On This Snowy Morning
The weather experts are predicting some really heavy snow for the East Coast of the United States. The fluffy white flakes have been falling for almost 24 hours and there is at least a foot of snow already on the ground with no end in sight to the storm.
If predictions are correct, some locations will end up with three feet of snow on the ground. There is the possibility of power outages so simple things like staying warm and preparing food will become challenges.
With the possibility of devastating circumstances to emerge from this
bout of winter's wrath, may we add to the beautiful verse below:
Though the wind howl at 40 miles per hour, and the temperature fall to 10 degrees below 0; though the power go out and the house be frigid; though the food that we share be cold as ice; though we be unable to leave this place because the roads are impassible, yet will we exult in the LORD, yet will we rejoice in the GOD of our SALVATION.
Though the wind howl at 40 miles per hour, and the temperature fall to 10 degrees below 0; though the power go out and the house be frigid; though the food that we share be cold as ice; though we be unable to leave this place because the roads are impassible, yet will we exult in the LORD, yet will we rejoice in the GOD of our SALVATION.
. . . Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18
