Weekend Blizzard

The weekend blizzard has covered the east coast with a heavy blanket of snow. Many have lost power because of the heavy snowfall. Most have lost mobility because the 30 inches of snow have made many roads impassible.

This is a difficult time for active people who have much to do and find it disconcerting to be stopped in their busy hustle and bustle of activity.

But may we take this time to rest in Him. May we spend a bit more time than we usually do in the quiet of His presence. May we lean back with a Bible in our hands and seek out of His Word the glorious TRUTH that can give us peace in the midst of life's worst storms.

LORD GOD in Heaven, please look down upon Your people and help them to find You in the quiet aftermath of life's severe storms. Let them know that You have been faithful through the storm and You will remain faithful after the storm.

May we who name Your name be faithful to You. Help us to thank You for Your hand of protection that has kept us through the ordeal we have faced. Help us to praise You for Your overcoming power that has caused the winds to cease.

Help us to hold fast to You not only in the blizzards of difficulty that sometimes blow over us, but through the sunshine of life's good days. May we be faithful always, DEAR FATHER, for You are always faithful to us.

In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Galatians 5:5
For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Romans 8:25
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
2 Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
James 1:3
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience.
