It is true that the Holy God who loves man and gave Himself to redeem man from sin knows the name of each person ever born. He has the names of men on the palm of His hand and the hairs of their head are numbered.
Jehovah God also has the name of the city of Jerusalem engraved on His hand. HE says, "...your walls are continually before ME." Isaiah 49:6
This place is special to the LORD. It is the premier real estate in all the world. Because it is a unique treasure to God, it is contested by the evil one.
Just as he endeavors to usurp the authority of God over men, to deny
them salvation through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, so he schemes to
control Jerusalem.
Although he is relentless in his endeavor to take God's rightful place, although he strives continually against God's authority over men, ultimately, he will fail because JESUS crushed his head at Calvary.
One day, "Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD..." Philippians 2:10
And JESUS will one day reign from His Holy City.
