Our glorious and beloved GOD and soon-coming KING, we place ourselves before YOU in complete surrender to YOUR will and YOUR purpose for our lives.
When we are weary of the travesties of injustice that we see all around us, when we are weary of the wicked in high places furthering their evil purposes, when we are weary of the seeming futility of our frail efforts to overcome the depravity that has overtaken us as a people, let us be mindful of YOUR promises and confident in YOUR plan to overcome evil with good.
Renew our hope, dear JESUS, renew our faith. Restore to us the joy of our salvation. Remind us that we are not citizens of this world alone but citizens of YOUR KINGDOM where justice and righteousness and power will be our portion forever.
