On This Day of Remembrance
On this day of remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy, may we also be mindful of all the pain that has been inflicted upon this land.
May we be mindful of the broken treaties and wars that were fought against our Native American brothers.
May we weep tears of repentance over the bondage imposed upon our black brothers.
May we repent of the prejudice we have harbored against those who are not like us.
May we come together in faith in the ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD who has sacrificed HIMSELF for us. May we share HIS TRUTH and HIS GLORY wherever we go with whomever will listen.
May our tears wash this land clean of deceit and division, of pain and prejudice.
May we be renewed in the inner man where our hearts bow before our PRECIOUS JESUS and where we resolve to love as HE loves.
